Mount Seaview Resort

Mount Seaview Resort has a lot of potential for volunteers to come and put their own stamp here. Together with other backpackers, we think that they could be a great addition to making Mount Seaview Resort a backpacker heaven.

There are 4/5 staff members who are also backpackers. They manage the resort and will be training and leading the volunteers on their day to day tasks. The volunteers will be excpected to help 4 hours per day and will have free reign to explore the grounds in there free time with 2 days off per week. Ralph, his family and Reba, the dog, own the resort and will stop by time to time to check if everything is going according to plan. Next to the resort, the Clissold family run a cattle farm with over 800 cows walking around the 7500 acres land they own.

I had a great time at Mount Seaview, mainly because of the other backpackers who ran the resort. We had a lot of fun together and I would say that your stay really depends on these connections. The nature in the surrounding area is beautiful, but unfortunately there aren't too many different hiking trails or paths. However, if you enjoy the slow life in a remote location, this is definitely a great opportunity for volunteer work! The work is super relaxed and depends on how busy the season is, I had lots of free time in winter. Many thanks to Ralph & Meg, the owners, who welcomed me so warmly.

Had a great time at Mount Seaview Resort, met some great friends and the work was relatively easy. unfortunately we had the flood during my last week and a half at the resort so it was very quiet but brought us all closer as friends. loved walking around the grounds! :)

It was a nice place out in the nature, would probably recommend to someone who wants to get away for a bit and enjoy the quiet. The nature is really nice and all the people I worked with were lovely it just can get a bit boring and isolating at times as there isn’t that much to do

Really enjoyed my time at Mount Seaview; the people who work/volunteer there are friendly and easy to get on with. The work is straight forward as described in the description. It was nice to be close to nature and have a lovely view of the mountains. It's a lot different from the city but you soon adapt to it.

Everyone was supportive and passionate, which made working together a joy. The natural beauty of the resort made it even more special, and I’m grateful for the chance to contribute to such a welcoming environment. Highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to volunteer in a beautiful setting!
