Lama-Oase

You will learn about the character of different animals and you will learn a lot about yourself! It is important that you believe in yourself and that you want to be the boss in front of the animals.

The farm is run by Sabine and Manfred. We live here since 2012 and had already many volunteers to help us. We treat volunteers with respect , but we expect full respect of our animals and our lifestyle, too!

The place is really nice, is a rural area with pine forest and a lot of other farms. The animals are adorable, the camels, the llamas, the goats and cats are just really sweet. I wasnt prepared for the size of the horses, they are REALLY big and this was a lot scary for me. The job consist in handling the animals, which means clean them, their poops and make sure thay have food/water and put them to the fields. We also had a few walkings with the llamas.
Not an easy job, but also is not hard. But it can be very demanding on your mind.
Good food.
Sadly it didnt work out so well for me.

Hii, we enjoyed our stay at the farm very much. The animals there are just the best and there is really a lot of them. It was a great time to reconnect with the nature and to meet other volunteers. Sabine and Manfred were really nice and also took us for some trips. The food was maybe not the best for vegetarians. We usually finished the main job before lunch and then in the afternoon we had time to relax and to play the pool. The main tasks were cleaning the stable, caring for the animals and going to events with the animals. We would certainly recommend for all animal loving volunteers!

The experience was wonderful. The farm is a place where you can connect with nature and animals. The animals there are wonderful, very docile and affectionate. I am infinitely grateful for the opportunity to spend time with them and help care for their animals. I had an incredible time. Highly recommended.

At first, it can be a bit challenging if you're not used to being around animals, but over time you build a beautiful bond with them. The tasks included feeding, grooming, taking the animals in and out of the pens, catching llamas (fun and tricky!), and going on walks with them. The food was delicious. There are forests nearby for walking and bikes available to explore nearby towns. A very special experience—perfect for nature and animals lovers.
