La Cruz Verde
Volunteers will gain valuable insights into the needs and specialized care of various local wildlife species, including nutrition and suitable living conditions in a natural environment. They will also engage in the complex processes of rehabilitating and relocating rescued animals back into their habitats. Additionally, veterinary care at our animal clinic plays a crucial role in our wildlife conservation efforts.
While our work with wildlife is a vital part of our mission, volunteers will also engage in enriching cultural exchanges with local indigenous communities. This close contact provides a unique perspective on a way of life that emphasizes foraging and harvesting the diverse "fruits" and resources offered by the Amazon rainforest.
Engaging in construction projects using local materials and basic tools is an excellent way to enhance creativity and manual skills. Working with the jungle’s flora also offers invaluable knowledge about edible, medicinal, and craft-worthy plants. Additionally, through the contributions of our volunteers, we establish a Health Fund, providing vital support to community members in times of emergency, accidents, and illness.
Once the school location is established, we will offer a variety of educational courses, including language classes in Tacana and English, as well as math and environmental education. These classes will be conducted by skilled local teachers and supported by volunteers, ensuring a rich learning experience for all.
At La Cruz Verde, we are a passionate team dedicated to our work, deeply respecting the forest and every form of life within it. Joining us in the Bolivian Jungle promises an unforgettable experience as you immerse yourself in our commitment to conservation and community.
