La Cabaña de Lapo

To see and experience the reality of a small village in a third-world country, learn from locals, exchange cultures and idioms, and share life experiences.

we are a group of local people who want to show our community to the world each volunteer so far has left with a change in their life and with the desire to return and share this project and this will be done with each of our future volunteers.

My experience at La Cabala de Lapo was so rewarding and impactful and couldn’t recommend it more! Juan was an incredible host who went above and beyond to care for us and made sure we always getting involved within the community. Juan’s mum cooked us 3 incredible home cooked meals a day and we were provided with a cosy room to stay which was cleaned weekly! The work was totally doable and we loved being able to give back to the community. We truely felt like part of the family and are grateful to have had this experience!

Solo estuve 1 semana pero fue de gran provecho! Todo trabajo que se hace es útil de alguna manera. Juan y su familia son hospitalarios y atentos. El pueblo es tranquilo y seguro. Sin duda recomiendo este voluntariado

I absolutely loved my time here! I would 100% do it again. Juan is so lovely and very kind. Anything you need he will help you with. The experience itself was fantastic. The food made by Esther was phenomenal. Lovely community and people. It really feels like home after you are there for sometime.

I stayed with Juan for one week but I wish I could have stayed longer!
Juan and his family are carying and you I felt welcome anytime! I worked in the garden, made bricks and plaques and visited a family! It is great to have an impact and see where it helps people. I highly recommend this place if you want to learn something about sustainability and you don´t mind making your hands dirty!
