Keiraleagh House- Wollongong Backpackers
The hostel is situated very close to some of Australia's best surfing beaches. There are many beaches within a few minutes walk, as well as a fishing harbour and 2 lighthouses . There is a bike and walking track that runs for many kilometres along the beach front, for your outdoor entertainment. We are also very close to many bush walking tracks.
The hostel is situated right in the middle of town where there is a great café and bar culture , as well as many night spots. We have a very bohemian, bali-inspired hostel. The hostel is in a lovely heritage house which is eco friendly. We are solar powered and have a lovely back garden to chillout in.
The hostel has been mostly family run, but we are now needing other staff. I have owned the hostel for 25 years and live on the premises . Volunteers will be welcomed into our extended family

I had a great time at keiraleagh house. Nathan made everyday so easy, we had plenty of hostel family bonding time and my weeks there were so so nice. I’ll miss the house and the beach and the team but most of all I’ll miss little Indi girl 🐶. I had a lot of fun, the place is so cute, it was a perfect welcome to Australia.

Wow, I can't believe this beautiful experience has ended. Nathan, the person in charge, is so, so, soooooo nice and so well connected with all the volunteers. You can talk to him about anything, he's definitely the best manager I have ever had.
I don't have enough words to describe how grateful I am to him and to the hostel itself. I 1000% recommend this place, it was such an amazing experience. The hostel was clean, the beds were super comfy, and the people there are the best! Don't think twice about joining them you won't regret it!

I’ve just finished my volunteering experience in Wollongong at the Keiraleagh house and it was absolutely wonderful ❣️The people were amazing, the atmosphere felt so warm and welcoming! Keira and Nathan are fantastic hosts. The tasks were clear and easy to follow.
I couldn’t have asked for a better time. 💛

It was my first time as a volunteer and totally loved every second of it! The whole place and people there have amazing energy - feels like home :). Tasks were easy and fun to do. I had plenty of time to do other activities and even travel. Nathan is the best boss!

The hosts were wonderful people, very kind very helpful. The location is in a great spot central to all things you need. Unfortunately I was there during the worst rain said 1998, and winter, which I was not expecting and did not pack for. so I wasn’t able to experience much. This lead to my leaving early. But I’m sure if you were to go in the summer it would be a 10/10 experience
