Hostel MeyerBeer
We have won as the best hostel in France, on hostelworld. It is a safe and cozy place to volunteer. We want to offer an equal opportunity where the volunteers help us and we help them enjoy and learn more about the city of Nice.
Hello guys, my name is Alessandro and together with stefano (the owner) we run the hostel Meyerbeer here in Nice. We are both from Italy but most of our staff & volunteers are normally from all over the world and we love to keep that worldly atmosphere. We are a family fun hostel so we treat our staff and volunteers as such. We ask of our volunteers to be responsible, friendly and trustworthy and in return offer a safe friendly environment to sleep and volunteer.

I had such a great time at Meyerbeer! It felt like I was on vacation a majority of the time. I expected to work more when I arrived but was pleasantly surprised to a very easy and flexible schedule. This allowed me to spend lots of time exploring Nice and take lots of days trips. I was even able to spend a few nights in Paris. Stefano was very kind and friendly! Alessandro was awesome. Super chill and explained everything very well. He was always there to help if I ever needed it on my shift. I would definitely recommend volunteering here!

The hostel is very well placed and gives you a perfect chance to explore the city! The hostel is very clean and well run by Alessandro. I can only be jealous of the people who get to work here, I already miss it :)

I was at Hostel Meyerbeer for a month and it was an extremely great experience. We live in the Hostel with the guests and used the kitchen together. The atmosphere is so chill but really fun and welcoming. The work is really east to understand and every question is answered. Most of all you have enough free time to explore all of Nice and even next door cities (or monaco if wanted). The best thing is the location, it is soooo close to the beach, maybe like 5 minutes max.. I would recommend this place and experience to anyone. You can be very low key or make a lot of friends. I truly loved it
