Dalat Note Hostel

Our hostel attracts the friendliest of travelers with the greatest stories. We have a welcoming and laid back atmosphere. All of our staff are here to help with anything. We love getting to know the guests and enjoy eating family dinners together once in a while.

Our staff is made up of people from all parts of Vietnam. We all work together to provide a great stay. We love having volunteers and want them to feel like they are a part of the family. We want to show them what our Vietnamese culture is like.

The host and his family are very welcoming. The hostel is almost always usually being frequented by foreigners so there was no shortage of my practicing of english as someone coming from SEA. i had fun manning the reception together with Ilia, a long-term volunteer there. I also learned how fast-paced hostel management can also be, there's always a new guest day in and day out. I also had the best time visiting cafés nearby and people-watching around the lake. I truly hope to be back here again.

We enjoyed our stay at Dalat note so much that we returned to volunteer again. It is so comfortable both in the hostel and in the city. The owners are kind, organised and go-getters. The tasks are clear. Thank you so much to Ninh, Rachel and the girls.

First off Ninh is an incredible person. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone work as hard as him. He has another job and then comes back throughout the day and runs the hostel. The workload is great and the hostel is as social as you make it. His family are brilliant and would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

Ninh and his family are amazing. they made us feel at home. we took part in family dinners. and helped around the hostel.

I put in extra hours when needed, and the host Ninh made an effort to say thank you and gave us extra above the agread upon remuneration.

We were allowed use of the scooters. and had free use of the kitchen.

The hostel is clean and easy to maintain. Reception was my main task. but I fit into many roles above this. making it a wholesome experience. learning alot about running a hostel, and making egg coffee.

Thank you Ninh and Rachel

If you care about the work you do and understand this is the family's business, and they are passionate about their hostel, you can't go wrong. Be sure to communicate any challenges you are having and they will have an open discussion. We were made very comfortable, well-fed and cared for. The systems and processes are easy to learn. We enjoyed cooked food or local cuisine from Grab each day. We also worked on making checklists for future volunteers to have an even smoother experience and be able to help guests right from the get-go. They celebrated my birthday with cake and flowers! 🌹🌺🌼
