Cocoa & Tumeric Jungle farm

You can do a lot of stuff in the area.
Participating in the tours Lani is offering, visiting the nearby waterfalls, making a day trip to Puerto Viejo.
If there is extra time, Lani will be happy to show you how to make plantain flour and other valuable stuff.

In exchange you will have the possibility to learn everything about living a healthy life. Lani is generous in sharing her wisdom! You can participate in the tours and learn about the medicinal plants, about cacao and more! You will learn about the edible plants of the area and you can also practice your Spanish if you wish.

I had a very interesting time at Lani’s farm. For me, it was a completely new experience to live without electricity or sanitary facilities and i recommend it to everyone who wants to challenge themself! Lani is a nice host and the tasks are also pretty easy. It is a different life style and it can be hard to adjust to it but it’s worth a try! And you will have time to calm down, reconnect with nature and let go of the travel stress :) i recommend it for the experience!

I volunteered at this ecological farm, disconnecting from social media due to the lack of electricity. I woke up and used the woods as my bathroom, then walked to the creek to shower. Afterwards, Lannie would wait for me with a super healthy breakfast. I also walked her dog, Mani. The place was so relaxed and in touch with nature. Lannie has many animals that keep her company. This place felt like a retreat - one week of healthy food and surrounded by nature.
Thank you Lannie for letting me live this experience
Lots of love 💕

Lani, the owner of this farm is such a lovely person and you get to learn a lot about your connecting with the nature and spirituality. The little farm is very off-grid but very cute and peaceful with a lot of animals around. The only negative thing I have to say is that there is not a lot of things to do so sometimes it was a little bit boring but fair to say, we only have been there for 2 days, so maybe we would have had more work on the other days.
All in all it is a perfect place to find yourself and grow with your own company. :)
