Children Home Nepal

We are a local charity in Nepal dedicated to providing education, care, and a brighter future for underprivileged children. Through our community children’s education program, we ensure that every child receives not just quality education but also the tools they need to succeed. We regularly provide them with notebooks, school supplies, and nutritious fruits to support their learning and well-being.

Beyond academics, we focus on their overall growth by encouraging social interactions, outdoor learning experiences, and recreational activities. We take them on group outings where they can explore, interact with other children, and learn valuable life skills beyond the classroom. Our goal is to create a nurturing environment where every child feels supported, inspired, and ready to dream big.

When a traveler volunteer at our place, you will get an opportunity to assist a local charity of Nepal. You will be staying with us as a family where you get opportunity to experience our culture , language, food. As ourselves being local, we can introduce with local and historical places, cook together local foods, teach you Nepali language and way to bargain for good price ( if you want to buy anything from shops).

We are a family-run charity driven by love, care, and a strong commitment to our community. When you volunteer with us, you won’t just be a visitor—you’ll become part of our family. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be welcomed with open arms and treated like a brother or sister. We believe in creating a warm, supportive environment where everyone feels at home. Whether it's sharing meals, working together on meaningful projects, or simply spending time with the children, you will always feel valued and included. Your time with us won’t just be an experience—it will be a connection that lasts a lifetime.

This opportunity was truely so rewarding. The kids are full of so much love, personality and enthusiasm to learn.Sujan and his family are so welcoming, caring and sweet. There is a lot of time to explore the Budhanilkantha area including the temples and stupa’s nearby, as currently the children are only coming for two hours a day. I attended a yoga class that was incredible. The volunteering location is also only a short distance from kathmandu central area by bus or inDrive ( Thamel, durbar square)
I loved the dal bhat for dinner and the homemade bread and organic fruit is delicious.

Sujan and his family are very friendly. You feel at home pretty quickly. Expect to eat dahl bhat, the typical meal, at every meal but done differently. Children are really interesting if u have motivation to make sense in our activitites. They are very endearing and behave very well. As for the farm, it's 30m2, it's like a garden. Finally, in the "what you get" part, it's not exactly the reality on 2 points: if you want to go on an excursion with Sujan, you have to pay extra, and there is no "Free party" as mentioned. Thank you for the accommodation too, I got good memories of the family/kids
