Amani Cultural Tourism Arusha

Amani Cultural Tourism Arusha

Hi, my name is Clemency, and I’m delighted to welcome you to my village on the slopes of Mount Meru, just 19 km from Arusha town. Born and raised here, I’ve been working for over a decade to improve the lives of our community members.

Our village is surrounded by lush crops, banana trees, and breathtaking views of both Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro. I invite you to join us as a volunteer to experience the beauty of our culture while contributing to meaningful projects that bring positive change to our community.

What We Do :
We are passionate about empowering our community through education, sustainable development, and environmental preservation. As a volunteer, you can choose to help with several impactful projects:

- Teach English: Help educate young children at our local kindergarten.
- Social Media & Marketing: Assist us in promoting our initiatives and growing our online presence.
- Kindergarten Renovations: Get involved in improving the facilities to create a better learning environment for our children.
- Support at the Veterinary Clinic: Help provide care for animals in the village.
- Farming & Cheese Production: Contribute to growing crops and expanding our small-scale cheese production.
- Tree Planting Project: Share your skills and join us in planting trees to support our reforestation efforts.

Your Stay with Us :
As a volunteer, you’ll stay in one of our two homes, where you’ll be treated as one of us.

Accommodation:
- In my family home:
- One room with two beds and a private bathroom.
- Another room with a single bed.
- Additional bathroom outside the house, along with three toilets.

- In our second house:
- Space for three additional volunteers.

Altogether, we can host up to six volunteers at the same time, ensuring a warm, community-oriented experience.

Meals:
You’ll learn to prepare traditional Tanzanian dishes and enjoy fresh, locally grown produce every day.

Activities:
We want you to feel at home here and enjoy your time outside of volunteering. You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Take part in our coffee tour and learn how coffee is grown and processed.
- Enjoy hiking in the stunning landscapes around our village.
- Join safaris and trekking adventures, with part of the profits going to support our community projects and kindergarten.

Be Part of Our Journey :
We believe that together, we can create meaningful and lasting change. When you volunteer with us, you’ll not only make a difference in our community but also experience the warmth and hospitality of Tanzanian culture. Come as a volunteer, leave as a friend.

My name is Clemency and I will be your host during your volunteer experience. I was born and raised in the village and have been involved in helping the community for over a decade. I wish to welcome you to help continue this journey. Volunteers will be treated as one of the family members, come as volunteer and leave as friend. Volunteers will have the freedom to do their own things after daily work and weekends. You will have the opportunity to learn how to cook local dishes and enjoy fresh produce daily. Another way you can support the children and kindergarten is by donations and sponsorship. Please ask during your stay if this is something you are interested in. Together we can bring changes to the local community. We were: Born to serve Born to change Born to born New Born

I loved my time at this farm near Mount Meru so much, it became my favorite program after many. I would really stay longer if I could!
The house is beautifully located, surrounded by lush greenery, with plenty of spots to relax outside. You can hike, get a motorbike to town, go to a lake or just enjoy the peace. Working with the animals, though, is mostly observing, but there is so much else to do. Never a need to feel bored!
Clemency and Godfrey do so much to help the village. Witness and their kids are so sweet and welcoming. Perfect for a local experience but also for unwinding in nature!

The two weeks I spent in Tanzania were truly unforgettable. Clemency and her family were incredibly welcoming, always making me feel part of their daily life while still respecting my personal space. Thanks to them, I was able to experience the real life of the locals, discovering traditions and activities I would never have known as a tourist. The kindness and smiles of the people I met made the experience even more special. It’s something I will always carry in my heart and recommend to anyone wishing to discover the true essence of Tanzania. Thank you again, sending a warm hug to you all!!

I've visited over 20 countries, but Tanzania will definitely remain in my heart forever. I've met countless warm, kind people who have become my friends. I truly feel at home here. Everyone is a brother to each other. Clemency is a proper host, a great guide, a friend who will solve any problem; neither he nor anyone else will ever leave you alone with a problem. Karibuni Sana isn't just an empty slogan; it's a way of life.

The House of Clemency was truly perfect — from the warm welcome I received to the kindness and care they show every day. Teaching the 4–5-year-old kids there was an unforgettable experience, and I encourage everyone to go, visit, and volunteer. You’ll feel at home from the very first moment. Asante sana clemency ❤️

Volunteering at Amani Cultural Tourism was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. If you want to really experience local culture and feel like you are making a difference, I would 100% recommend this volunteering position.

Clemency and his family are very welcoming and they did everything they could to accommodate me. Also, they connect you to other local people and each and every one of them were amazing to me and made my experience unforgettable. They showed me around town and planned fun activities for me, which I am very grateful for.
