I would recommend coming here to help. Helene is very kind, the work is easy, and you can choose when to start your day. I mostly painted the house and windows, and with up to 18 volunteers there's always someone to hang out with, so being social helps! You cook in a shared kitchen with basics provided, and often meals are shared since the kitchen is the heart of the house. Evenings meant movies or cards and start late, so it's perfect if you are a night owl. Accommodation ranges in privacy (sometimes curtain for door). I stayed 2 weeks, but the people quickly grew close to my heart.♡

Helen was such a kind, flexible, and fun person! She actively communicated with the volunteers and always made sure we could interact together. The work tasks were easy to understand, and the working hours were very flexible. Helen is very creative, and her ideas about the future of this house were fascinating. I also found her stories about Norwegian society and her past travels incredibly interesting, and I learned so much from them. The room was clean and offered plenty of privacy, and all the other volunteers were wonderful people, making it a great cultural exchange experience!

Para mí, esta experiencia ha sido increíble, única e irrepetible. Este ha sido mi primer voluntariado, y, no ha podido ser mejor. Ha superado mis expectativas al 100 %. Considero qué gran parte de esto se debe a Helene, anfitriona de este hogar 🏡. Desde el primer momento se preocupa y encarga de que todos los voluntarios estemos cubiertos, atendidos y bien, en todos los sentidos. Respecto al trabajo, hay bastante flexibilidad, tanto en la ejecución de tareas, como en el horario. Me he sentido como en casa en este hogar que ha creado Helene junto a sus padres. Muchísimas gracias por todo.

I really enjoyed my stay in Mysen! Helene and all the other volunteers made me feel very welcome. The tasks were simple and mostly outside witch i really enjoyed and the house was comfortable with everything I needed. Thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to work with you i would do it again and really recommend it.

Mysen es una experiencia plena para darle sentido a la acción voluntaria. Helen cumple ampliamente lo que promete para una estancia placentera y permite que te desempeñes dando lo mejor de ti. Los compañeros, con los que tuve la fortuna de coincidir, compartian su tiempo para que aprendiera un poco de su cultura y colaboraban en todo. Tuve una estancia de dos semanas y pasaron super rápido en un ambiente inmejorable. Agradezco a Helen, su familia y a los compas, por dos semanas plenas en Noruega. Los llevo en el corazón.

I just left Mysen and I can confirm that it has been an incredible experience. The work is very easy, and Helen, the host, is always on hand to make sure we don't lack anything. It's an incredible place to disconnect from the routine and meet other wonderful volunteers from all over the world. I recommend it to everyone.

My stay at Mysen has been a great opportunity to learn about myself and others, as well as learning new practical skills. Helene and her place are amazing (has anything you need) and I will be forever grateful for her kindness, trust in me and everything she had offered and still offers all of us ❤️ Good luck with all the plans and projects Helene, you'll smash it!!

I had lovely time in here & 1week was almost too short. Helene is a great host, very easygoing, inspirational & present around the volunteers. The work was not difficult & mostly done in pairs. I enjoyed hanging out with the other volunteers, chatting in the kitchen, sharing food or exploring Mysen. I loved that there were so many people around & I even learned some Spanish words which I didn't expect haha. I'm leaving Mysen with valuable memories & If you're proactive, outgoing, fun, this place is for you🙌🏻

Aquí en mysen todos son muy buenos desde el anfitrión como lo es helene , los voluntarios que llegan hasta la personas de los alrededores, para mi me parece un buen primer voluntariado y me gustaría repetir esta experiencia.

Ha sido una experiencia increíble y súper recomendable! Helene y su familia son personas súper amables y generosas, nos han hecho sentir como en casa. Hay un ambiente super bueno en la casa con el resto de voluntarios, hemos conocido ha gente maravillosa que nos llevamos como amigos. Sin duda volveremos!
