The work was very flexible, interesting and fun (especially if you love some creativity: making jewellery from the fins of the lion fish which is an invasive species), leaving a lot of time to explore the rest of Bocas! Emilio is a great host who will always help you if you need anything! I would highly recommend:))

Mis semanas en Bocas del Toro fueron de las mejores de mi vida. Conocí a personas apasionadas e increíbles, y la Bodega se convirtió en un hogar. Pero, más que nada, fue Emilio quien hizo que esta experiencia fuera inolvidable. Su calidez, generosidad y gran corazón dejan huella en todos los que entran en su vida. Compartimos momentos que atesoro: bailando, explorando, limpiando playas, compartiendo comidas y simplemente disfrutando juntos. Agradezco a Emilio por su amabilidad, su humor y su dedicación a cuidar el planeta. Lo extraño mucho!

I loved my experience here, Emilio is a great host and just having two other volunteers meant we formed a close community :) it was an amazing way to learn more about the islands and projects, get to contribute something valuable and gain varied skills and experiences. While I was there we did a beach clean up on another island and a school workshop, as well as making and selling jewellery, which I really enjoyed! The space is basic but comfortable and became a home away from home, cooking and sharing meals together. Having bikes to go around the island on was also great!

Most of all I just enjoyed getting to know and hang out with Emilio. He is such a lovely person, chill, flexible and funny. He built this ngo and has such a big caring for the environment which was very inspiring to see. The work is very interesting and fun as well. I learned many new things, did not know about the lionfish crisis before and I was happy to gain some skills on making jewellery:D The work is quite chill and easy to manage and Emilio makes sure that you just work your three/four hours. Sometimes, communication on the times could be better but all in all its all super relaxed.

Muy bien recibimiento de parte de los anfitriónes y las tareasbde confección de artesanías muy interesantes! :) En cuanto al control de plagas y las altas temperaturas del clima, sería muy adecuado y necesario mejorar la habitación de voluntarios, para un descanso óptimo..

I had a good experience at the project with Emilio and the other volunteers. The communication could have been better sometimes but other than that the work is fine and there is plenty of time to visit the islands. It can be a great opportunity.

Tuve la oportunidad de hacer voluntariado con el proyeto y fue una experiencia fantástica. Emilio es una persona realmente apasionada y me enseñó mucho sobre sostenibilidad a través de su proyecto. La atmósfera es muy acogedora, y el horario de trabajo es flexible, lo que me permitió disfrutar también de la isla y explorarla. Además, Emilio propone actividades interesantes para hacer juntos, lo que hace que la experiencia sea aún más enriquecedora. Si hubiera tenido la oportunidad, me habría quedado más tiempo. Sin duda, lo recomiendo a todos los que estén interesados en la sostenibilidad!

I am so grateful I had the chance to volunteer here at the project! It's such a unique volunteering position and I got to learn a lot about sustainability and how they directly handle problems here in Bocas. Emilio is super welcoming and the work is a lot of fun! We mostly helped to clean the space, make jewelry, and sell jewelry at street stands, so if you're into crafting, you would love this. You also have lots of free time to explore the islands! Such a cool initiative, I reccomend to everyone !!
