Volunteer to help build a medieval Gothic edifice in France!

The organization is a really special place and I adored my time there! It is an amazing project and the atmosphere here is lovely, within 10 minutes of arriving I felt safe and welcomed here as an 18yr old solo female traveller ! Hours were just as agreed upon, this project is a really fun experience and your help will really be appreciated here. The people here are really wonderful and there is no feeling of hierarchy , Jim was really open to teaching everyone how to build and was never annoyed over any mistakes! The pace isn't rushed and everyone has a great time together!

The expierience at the organization was amazing for me. The work is tiring, but way less then I would expect and quite rewarding. Jim was an amazing costruction site manager and was patient with us. I loved the food Mark cooked us for lunch and I had the chance to try a lot of diffrent cuisines. We also had a lot of free time and organized visits during weekends. For one of the weekends we could participate at a medieval fair. In the free time we also had a stonecarving lesson with Mark. The village is the safest I have felt and the relationship with the volunteers and staff made me feel at home.

I came to the organization expecting loads of hard work and learning masonry, but what I did not expect is the wonderful community and family that everyone here provides which I am extremely grateful to have been a part of. The work is hard, yes, but extremely rewarding and is paced in a way that is doable for everyone. This is an amazing experience and an opportunity not only to learn certain skills, but also to connect with people. Definitely would recommend!!

This is an amazing project with great hosts! I highly recommend it to anyone who is willing to get their hands a little dirty, build some muscles, have a great time and leave a small mark in the history of making an amazing castle

Sam, Susy, Mark and Bill te harán sentir muy cómodo y están a disposición de resolver tus dudas, buscan de que manera realizar actividades fuera de la instalación y poder visitar lugares cercanos. Las actividades son fáciles y siempre te enseñaran como realizarlas. Los voluntariados con los que conviví fueron un amor y siempre los recordaré. Me hubiera gustado acabar la otra mitad del tiempo que iba a pasar aquí, pero, por temas que ocurrieron en el lugar tuve que irme.

Sam, Mark, Jim, and Suzi were amazing teachers and I learned so much, they always made sure that the environment was positive and the work was enjoyable. There is constantly new things to learn about and many place to explore in the surrounding area. I made so many good memories and and can't wait to the see the progress of the project and to come back in the future, thank you!

I had a wonderful time at the host, happy and proud to be a part of this amazing project. I enjoyed every day of my stay in this quiet, peaceful countryside environment. I met some great welcoming people and learnt some new useful skills. I highly recommand it and expect to come back someday !

The host is the kind of project I have never seen before and it blew me away when I got my first tour of the place. The environment is outstanding and all people connected to it are just amazing. The atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly. I felt safe and cared for. I've learned a lot during my stay as the work is very interesting and fun aswell. I got to try a lot of new things, which was awesome. I enjoyed every minute of my stay. Thank you for everything!

The host was an experience I'll never forget. Sam, Mark and Jim all made me feel welcome on my first worldpackers experience and were great hosts making sure we had everything we needed and showing me amazing sights in the french country. Working on this huge project with them has taught me skills I never knew before and i won't be forgetting them or the people. I look forward to seeing what becomes of the host in years to come and hope to get back there when I can!

It was a very nice and good experience, it is a beautiful place, surrounded by nature.
