Mi primera experiencia como voluntaria y no podría haber sido mejor! Angel y Sandra son personas increíbles, llenas de sabiduría y con una energía muy especial y bonita, imposible no quererlos! Siempre con una sonrisa en la boca y dispuestos a ayudar en todo lo necesario. Muy buen sitio para conectar con la naturaleza y aprender sobre las costumbres del lugar. Han sido dos semanas llenas de risas, aprendizajes y sobretodo de comidas riquísimas preparadas con mucho amor!!! La paz y tranquilidad que transmiten es única. Muchas gracias, sois los mejores!!

Para aqueles que estão mochilando há um tempo, estar com Sandra e Angel é como ter uma família de novo mesmo estando muito longe de casa. Durante o tempo que estive com eles me senti extremamente acolhida e cuidada. Angel adora fazer piadas e sempre nos diverte muito. Sandra é muito sábia e adora compartilhar suas histórias. E não posso deixar de falar sobre o quanto de amor a Sandra põe em toda comida que cozinha. Aprendi muito com Angel e Sandra durante o tempo que estive em the lodge! Sandra y Angel, ya extraño ustedes! Nos vemos en Brasil <3

I had a truly incredible experience at the lodge. Angel and Sandra went above and beyond to make my first Worldpackers experience so great. Sandra cooks delicious food that gives you an authentic taste of Costa Rica and is always happy to share her wisdom. Angel is great at making the days memorable and fun with things like karaoke nights. On the days of they would take us on excursions to nearby waterfalls and rivers, which are beautiful. I had a lot of fun hanging out with the goats everyday, they're adorable. Muchos Gracias Angel y Sandra.

I had a very nice stay of two weeks on the Farm. Sandra and Angel are very kind, welcoming and I had a lot of fun with them and the other volunteers. They speak Spanish so you can practice speaking very good. The other volunteers are from all over the world so you learn a lot about the Costa Rican culture and lifestyle but as well others. The work was fun, not too much, the goats are so cute. In your free time you are able to walk to the river and take a nice swim. The food is very good, local, varied and very delicious! I enjoyed my time at the lodge and would recommend it to everybody!

Angel and Sandra are very nice hosts who really cared for us. Sadly we only stayed with them for 2 weeks instead of 4 because of an health emergency of one of the hosts. Therefore we stayed the rest of our trip with Sandra's daughter and supported her with her upcoming projects. Even though Angel and Sandra stayed in touch with us and always cared. We would recommend this experience to people who want to experience the slow life. Because if Angel can't take you, it's hard to get anywhere without renting a car. Thanks to Angel and Sandra for making our first experience unforgettable!!!

Our hosts were amazing and kind. they were very patient with us as we aren't fluent in spanish. it was a great experience to live and understand a day in the life of someone in costa rica. the food was absolutely amazing

The lodge is in a serene and calm environment surrounded by beautiful nature. Sandra and Angel welcomed us with open arms and ensured our experience was meaningful. They are amazing , thoughtful and kind. Sandra is an exceptional chef and always prepared delicious vegetarian options for me. I loved listening to their passionate stories, anecdotes as they shared about their culture, history, customs, etc. Such a humbling experience. The river is 3km walk from farm and it was a refreshing daily activity. I felt we could have done so much more to help this wonderful couple.

We had two really good weeks! We helped with the animals and worked in the garden. Also for vegetarians the three meals a day were really good. The river is a 30min walk and the village a 40min walk away. Tip: Bring a moskito net+spray and clothes that can get dirty. Be carefull with the humidity - our things got moldy on the wet carpet. The daytrips we went on together were really nice. One was a bit expensiv and we didnt understand well why. It is a really nice, calm, green place and we enjoyed our time a lot!
