Volunteering at HSH is always a gif! The staff are wonderful, the hours are fair, the location is sublime. This is the 2nd time that we have been welcomed by this worldwide family, and how wonderful it was to be welcomed back by you guys! ❤️ I recommend this place to everyone, you will have the chance to visit the main cities of Scotland and even adventure through the Highlands (because the same company organizes AMAZING tours), in addition to making many friends, some of them for life, and creating memories unforgettable. I would recommend HSH to everyone! I'm extending my stay as it really feels like home, I made awesome friends, working hours are convenient, volunteers organisation is great, super clear and you get a chance to explore a lot or work outside too. This place is magic and got really good vibes!

My experience at the hostel was great. From the very beginning when I arrived everyone was very welcoming. I've met so many amazing people and it was an experience I'll never forget. The work is very easy and you're flexible in choosing your work schedule which is good if you want a couple days off. I would always recommend this hostel to other volunteers:)

The hostel has a wonderful atmosphere and the whole team is really welcoming and absolutely lovely. The working hours can be flexible enough throughout the day/week. It is a social place with nights out, pot-lock meals, movie nights and a great place to hang out after work.

I love this hostel so much! Not only is it well-kept and the right amount of quirky, but the people there are amazingly welcoming. The staff is very understanding and flexible with volunteer hours to accommodate those with jobs outside the hostel, and everyone is so friendly. There were movie nights, game nights, potluck dinners — I definitely plan to come back because I had so much fun this past month!

I loved this experience a lot! It's such a great group of people and in such a great location. The hours are very fair and the free breakfast is also a great inclusion. The only thing I'd note is that almost all other volunteers are long termers and have work or study, so there wasn't many people to do the touristy things with during the day, unless you happen to have another short term volunteer with you. This was fine with me but sometimes would have been nice to have someone to do day exploring with. Lots of night activities though which everyone gets involved with. Highly highly recommend

Being volunteer in the hostel was such an amazing first experience ! I'm so grateful to all, managers and volunteers, who were very kind and welcoming since the first day. I felt like a member of a big family. The tasks are easy and the work hours are always respected. The hostel is really well located in the city center and you have plenty of time to walk around the city, or to go to the events organized by the hostel ! I recommend 100% this place, can't wait to come back !

My experience at the highstreet hostel was amazing. Everyone made it feel like a home away from home. The tasks were easy and fair. And there was always good communication. I had a great time exploring Edinburgh and enjoying the beautiful city. Thank you so much for everything!
