The volunteer receptionist is the first face and the last smile each guest sees. Their mission is to ensure a warm, efficient, and organized experience at the hostel, providing key information, support with daily operations, and a relaxed atmosphere that reflects the essence of the place.

Español Principiante o Inglés Intermedio

Admite voluntarios solos, parejas y dúos de voluntarios

Ideal volunteer profile:

Positive energy, empathy, and people skills.

Conversational English (any additional language is a plus).

Organizational skills and responsibility with assigned shifts.

A good attitude for working in a multicultural team.

Flexibility and proactivity in learning.


Actividades & Turnos

Main Duties:

Check-in/Check-out: Assist with guest registration, key collection, and explanation of basic hostel rules.

Guest Relations: Answer questions, provide information on transportation, activities, tours, and local recommendations.

Internal Communication: Report any updates to the administrative or housekeeping team.

Reservation Management: Assist in confirming and updating reservations in the system (as delegated).

Social Environment: Promote good vibes in common areas, integrating travelers, and supporting community activities.

Arrive for your shift on time. Remember that reception is the heart of the hostel and cannot be left alone.

If you can't cover a shift or an emergency arises, inform the coordinator or manager immediately.

Respect for hostel rules 🏡
Apply the same rules that apply to guests (silence during breaks, order in common areas, etc.).

Be friendly without losing your composure when handling reservations, payments, or important information.

Confidentiality 🗂️
All information about guests and the hostel remains with reception.

No excesses 🚫
During the shift, the consumption of alcohol or other substances is prohibited. You can enjoy your stay outside of your normal schedule, responsibly.

Respect for the common area 🧹
Keep the reception and work area clean and organized after your shift ends.

If you see something that could be improved, suggest it. You're not just here to fill a position, but to contribute to the hostel experience.
