Volunteering at the hostel was a great opportunity to discover Copenhagen. The team, made up of young students, was super friendly and supportive—we always found some time to chat while working. The room is shared with up to 8 volunteers, so the experience depends on the group; we had fun! It can be hard to find quiet moments, but there are common areas and outdoor spots. The only kitchen is shared with guests, so sometimes it gets busy, but you quickly learn to adapt.

This was my 1st volunteering &I'm more than happy💖Everything they promised was honored. The staff was always very kind & patient with me.The job's a bit excessive for volunteers, but the tasks are very easy|👍🏻the area is very nice, everything is close by,well connected to the city, the🏨 has several entertaining things 2 do|To improve:It'd be nice if housekeeping cleaned the volunteers' rooms, since some people aren't very clean & it's not fair to others. Anyway,it depends on your goals & expectations.I came to live in🇩🇰& this opportunity allowed not 2 spend 💰 & get 2 know the place meanwhile

Working hours were respected, good environment and lots of time to explore the city. This hostel isnt like others, it is more like a hotel but you can still meet lots of people. Most staff members were incredibly welcoming and made shifts better, daniel, paiva, margarida, moudrike, karina and Larissa were some examples of the amazing staff members

The hostel was a great experience! The work was not hard . Hours sometimes feel long but I just recommend bringing comfy shoes. The group of volunteers were nice and the city is walkable , not far from the train station! :) recommend if you want to see Copenhagen

Staying at the hostel it was a great experience! Shifts and hours were respected so 4 days off every week is perfect if you want to visit the city. Managers and workers help to you in whatever you need. I recommend this place a 100%, thanks!! 😜

Definitely it is a good option if you want to visit Copenhagen with more time. The job can be sometimes a bit demanding, so it's a thing that you need to have into account before going there. Apart from this, the 4 days off were respected. You can always ask Karin for any change in the schedule if you wish. They are flexible with that, so they never have any problems to adjust your requirements, as long as you mention it with time. Thank you so much for this experience! 😉

My experience volunteering at the hostel was quite disappointing compared to germany. The atmosphere here felt unwelcoming and everyone seemed to give me the cold shoulder. Two volunteers on either side of the room would frolic in the middle of the night which made it feel awkward. The host had no problem with that. Another volunteer often got drunk and smoked a lot of weed which made the room smell terrible. He also racked up train fines. Again, no reaction from the host.. When I played some Drake in the AFTERNOON after my long and tedious morning shift, suddenly everyone had a problem.

We’ve had several issues with David. He has shown inappropriate behavior towards both the female volunteers and some of the hostel guests. The rest of the volunteers also felt very uncomfortable around him. We have already reported the situation to Worldpackers, and they have taken the necessary measures. However, in case his profile becomes active again, we strongly recommend that other hostels or volunteer programs do not accept him.

It was a good experience overall!! the shifts were long and boring and sometimes felt like a paid job but without the wage, which could be a bit frustrating, since some employees treated us like one of them and not as actual volunteers. the good thing is that we had 4 days off per week which gave us plenty of free time, and the scheduling was pretty flexible thanks to the lovely antonella!! also, there wasn't really a social hostel vibe, but i was very lucky to share the experience with other super nice volunteers which made the experience even better.

This volunteer opportunity was a great way to experience the beautiful city of Copenhagen. The volunteer experience is okay. The staff are nice and the work isn't too bad but compared to other experiences, you're treated as an unpaid employee, not a volunteer. This is a corporate owned hostel focused on families and freelancers so if you're looking for an unforgettable travellers experience. This is not it. Thank you to the volunteer manager Antonella for all of your help and assistance during our stay at the hostel you did a great job coordinating the volunteers :)

This is a good option if you want to stay in Copenhagen for free while exploring the city. Tasks are similar to paid staff and the standard expected is the same, so it feels more like unpaid work than volunteering. However, the team is kind and respectful — especially Antonella, the volunteer coordinator, who is truly lovely and helpful. Breakfast is available after guests eat, and volunteers share one room (cleaned by themselves). I learned practical skills, but the real value came from my time outside the hostel. Thank you, Antonella! <3
