The community at the eco village were all absolutely lovely and incredibly welcoming. Within only a day or two of arriving, all of the people who live in the community had gone out of their way to come up and introduce themselves to my partner and I, and were always ready to have a chat if you saw them around the place. The work was very varied, with many different tasks needing to be done around the place, so that keeps things interesting. There are lots of learning opportunities for volunteers at this stay, and the accommodation is great. We would highly recommend it to any travellers!

This has been my first volunteering and without a doubt it has been completely worth it! Thanks to Nayana, Civil and the rest of the hosts and people who stay there for welcoming the volunteers so well, I have learned a lot from this experience and it has been nice, I have met great volunteers who have become new friends. I hope to return again! Hare Krishna!🫶🏽

Everyone was very kind to me and helped me when I needed it. Perhaps volunteering in winter is a little hard because of the weather. I think the eco village must be beautiful in summer. I am grateful to have met people and for the nights sky full of stars that I was able to appreciate there. Many things can be improved with patience, love and dedication. My best wishes for everyone there and thank you for accepting me there.

I was there for a week. I met another very kind volunteer and I got to know the people who live in the community. They were very kind and always open to answer your questions. Activities in winter are usually hard because of the weather, but without a doubt, each activity I did allowed me to connect with the person I worked with and I learned a lot from each one. If you are a person who wants to be disconnected from the city, keep in mind that this place is for you since the community is a 1-hour walk down the road to another town. It could be a nice moment of serenity for you in the castle.

I must be honest, the facilities are ok but they are not the ones shown in the picture, they are more hostel style with small bathrooms... the food is ok if you like hindu food you will love it, it was what I liked the most, I was there for a week, in which the volunteers were too few for the tasks, they were strong, too much, carrying wood, roses, it is a strong work, the people let you immerse yourself too much in their religion... if you are a hard worker, if you like to pick and shovel, to carry logs and throw them on the road, and the country life and you are open-minded, it's for you.

I really liked the other volunteers during my stay and a monk from New Zealand, they were so sweet to me and helpful! But when I came, there was no one to show me around and people were late to meals, so in the start I needed to figure out a lot on my own. Which really wasn't a nice experience. I also want to say that the communication is pretty bad, especially when it comes to the work, and people tag you in a group with a lot of people if they don't think you did the job correctly, instead of writing to you privately. I learned a lot about Hare Krishna and nature, that was lovely!

Kinda disorganised + some rude people + since the tasks are so spread out everyday you essentially work 945am-5pm w/ a long lunch break so not ideal for remote working but mostly lovely people + fun experience + nice nature getaway + you're fed well + cool activities always going on

Volunteering at the eco village was a mixed experience. The tasks, like cleaning and fruit picking, can be tough in the summer heat, and the location is quite remote—about an hour's walk or a short drive from the nearest town, with limited transportation options. The food is decent but only available during set times, so bringing your own snacks is a good idea. The environment is peaceful, and the people are friendly, making it a good fit for those interested in the Hare Krishna community. Meeting other volunteers was a definite plus, making the overall experience worthwhile.
