I must be honest, the facilities are ok but they are not the ones shown in the picture, they are more hostel style with small bathrooms... the food is ok if you like hindu food you will love it, it was what I liked the most, I was there for a week, in which the volunteers were too few for the tasks, they were strong, too much, carrying wood, roses, it is a strong work, the people let you immerse yourself too much in their religion... if you are a hard worker, if you like to pick and shovel, to carry logs and throw them on the road, and the country life and you are open-minded, it's for you.

I really liked the other volunteers during my stay and a monk from New Zealand, they were so sweet to me and helpful! But when I came, there was no one to show me around and people were late to meals, so in the start I needed to figure out a lot on my own. Which really wasn't a nice experience. I also want to say that the communication is pretty bad, especially when it comes to the work, and people tag you in a group with a lot of people if they don't think you did the job correctly, instead of writing to you privately. I learned a lot about Hare Krishna and nature, that was lovely!

Kinda disorganised + some rude people + since the tasks are so spread out everyday you essentially work 945am-5pm w/ a long lunch break so not ideal for remote working but mostly lovely people + fun experience + nice nature getaway + you're fed well + cool activities always going on

Volunteering at the eco village was a mixed experience. The tasks, like cleaning and fruit picking, can be tough in the summer heat, and the location is quite remote—about an hour's walk or a short drive from the nearest town, with limited transportation options. The food is decent but only available during set times, so bringing your own snacks is a good idea. The environment is peaceful, and the people are friendly, making it a good fit for those interested in the Hare Krishna community. Meeting other volunteers was a definite plus, making the overall experience worthwhile.

It is a very beautiful place, full of charming places to explore. But in reality there are several aspects that can be uncomfortable, for example, for me and several companions, we arrived at the place and we didn't know what to do because no one waited for us at the entrance and we didn't know where to go, no one explained anything to us about the place or where. We were going to sleep, when, in my case, I managed to get to the room, they did not have clean sheets and there was no one from the place to ask, almost the volunteers themselves tried to help with that but they dont know about that

The people there were nice and the castle was Beautiful. But it was too far away from “the civilization” there was only one bus a day to the next town/village.

My experience at the eco village was truly amazing. It is a very calm and relaxing place. The working hours were always respected and often even cut short. Everyone met you with a lot of greatfulness for the work that you were doing. Once you get to know the people of the community, they are most of the time very open and kind.

The eco village is a great place for anyone interested in learning about ISKCON and people who enjoy spending time outdoors. The surroundings and the castle are beautiful! Due to our packed schedule, we didn't have as much free time to explore as I had expected. Also, the next town is pretty far and there's only one bus per day. (that's why I can only give 3 stars) But it is a good place to meet many new people:)

The eco village community was super inviting and grateful throughout my stay. I learnt so much about their practices, about farming and about different parts of the world though other volunteers. I would have loved if tasks were chosen at the start of the week instead of chosen daily just to add more structure to the week. Crash courses would also bode well for understanding the culture. Activies and tasks done as a group would also be amazing with strengthening bonds between volunteers. Overall I had a great experience and loved my stay there.
