Me encantó mi experiencia en la organización <3 Las chicas y los compañeros de Canecas son todos muy buena gente, con buena energía y siempre buscan integrarte. El trabajo es tranquilo, divertido y llevadero. Está bueno pasar por las dos sedes de la organización, tanto Canecas y Lisboa porque son dos experiencias distintas y buenas las dos. Estuve sólo dos semanas pero me hubiese quedado más! Definitivamente recomiendo esta experiencia

La experiencia con la organización fue extraordinaria. Primero tuve la oportunidad de estar en Caneças en donde la inmersión y el voluntariado fue más enriquecedor en el sentido que trabajas y formas parte de la comunidad la organización, después estuve la otra parte de mi experiencia en la tienda de Lisboa en donde colaboré con Humberto y un poco con Ophelie que sin duda alguna fueron personas que me trataron increíble.

This was my first solo trip and it was everything I wanted it to be! I felt so welcomed right from the start and comfortable throughout my entire stay. The people are really what made my whole trip. The entire team is made up of great people who want you to enjoy your time with them and with the organization. I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to explore a new culture, meet some great people, while also make a positive community impact! :)

I thoroughly enjoyed my time volunteering with the organization - both in Caneças and in Lisbon! Although quite different environments I felt equally welcomed and comfortable in both. I wasn't sure what exactly to expect from my first world packers experience but it exceeded whatever expectations I did have and I am so grateful for the awesome opportunities that were opened to me! Ophelie, Humberto and the rest of the team are genuinely caring and positive people who checked in with me throughout my stay to make sure I was having a good time and feeling comfortable with the work and conditions! 10/10

Foi uma das experiências + marcantes da minha viagem. Passei entre the organization Arroios e o the organization Caneças, onde tive a oportunidade de contribuir com um projeto que tem impacto social. Lá, tudo é feito com propósito: recebemos doações, limpamos, catalogamos e vendemos os itens, num espaço incrível que parece um imenso antiquário. É uma experiência ideal para quem gosta de colocar a mão na massa e, ao mesmo tempo, conhecer Lisboa e seus arredores. Agradeço de coração à Ophelie, Humberto, Eva e a todos os voluntários que estiveram comigo. Já quero voltar. 💙

Right from the beginning, I felt genuinely welcomed and part of the community. Everyone was so kind and easy to have a laugh with. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to connect with great people while contributing to the community.

The hosts are so welcoming and truly make it feel like a second home at the organization. I always felt cared for and respected and overall had a great experience. The hours are long but the atmosphere makes the work enjoyable and the tasks are simple. I would definitely recommend the organization to anyone looking to make a difference socially in a homey environment!

My time here was really made by the interns and people living in the community who are so kind and funny. It's a very beautiful place made clearly by a lot of hard work. The hours are long (about 42 a week in Canecas) but because my stay fell on some national holidays I got some extra days off. You will be in a shared dorm with possibly up to 5 other people. For girls the closest toilet is a dry one outside and the showers are in the laundry room which I do think were a little misrepresented in the photos on here. If you're veggie you cook your own food also :) I am glad for the experience

Volunteering at the organization was one the best travel experiences I have ever had. You can expect to work 5 days a week 8:30-6:30. But the days and weeks will fly by and before you know it you will feel like part of the family. Even with just 2 days off you can explore so much of Portugal (if you're willing to take some early and some late buses). Additionally, you will get to meet the most loving, kind, and supportive people . I could go on and on, but I'll just say this. If you're thinking about traveling to Portugal and volunteering at the organization, do it. You won't regret it, I promise :)
