Francesco is a very direct person, but he cares about your stay. Keeps you informed about the next day's schedule the day before. It is important to know that the residence is not in the same place as the olive plantation, but the house and the village where we stayed are very interesting, it makes you experience the local culture. Working hours are usually concentrated in one or two days, leaving plenty of free time to get to know the region, which requires studying the possibilities as there are only buses in the neighboring city. I had a good experiencie and meet nice people there :)

As my first worldpacking experience I would say it went really good. I learnt many things on the olive fields and had a really good time at the eco village. Francesco is great and cooks really good, also the palazotto became a really good place for spending time with other worldpackers and just chill.

I had a really good experience with this volunteer project. Francesco was always nice, respectful and had clear instructions for us, one day he even took us to the beach. The work itself varies a lot, some days were harder then others. The working hours were respected and Francesco always made sure to keep track of the time. the eco village is a small but very charming city. Its a place to disconnect and be on a slower rhythm.

I would recommend this job. Mirano the eco village is a beautiful small Italian town. The palazzotto you stay in is full of character and history. The work itself is good, Francesco doesn't ask you to do more than the agreed upon time. The work can be a little challenging but it's such a small number of hours each week it's no bother. Overall I had a great experience the eco village.

The eco village is a beautiful small town. The house in which we were staying is huge and beautiful, a true old Italian palazzetto. The work was easy to do and flexible; mainly consisting in fixing up the house and some work in the olive campagna. Francesco is a great host, he always explained the work and was very patient and sweet. He also took us to the beach and recommended some other nearby places to discover. During my stay I met some amazing people, the environment was unmatched. Definitely would recommend this experience to anyone who wants to get that slow, cosy small town life.

My time the eco village was lovely. We learned about permaculture and the environment. Life at the palazzotto was great, the house is really beautiful and historic. The town can be a bit tiring to walk around but the view and the sights are really worth it. Francesco as a host was great, he was kind and flexible. He took us to the beach and we had an overall great experience!! I was sad to leave the eco village, so I definitely recommend it

I had a really good experience at the eco village and with Francesco. The town is incredibly beautiful and pleasant and the palazzotto is an amazing place to live in. The work I did consisted mainly of tending the olive trees and rehabilitating the palazzotto, and it was not too difficult but perhaps a little tiring. Francesco is a great person, he even took us three times to the beach! I would definitely recommend the experience to anyone

Francesco is lovely and helped me out a lot when I got lost on my way there and was overall a fab host he even took me to the beach in my time off which was awesome! I really recommend it to anyone whose thinking of going it was 100% worth it!

I was planning on staying here for a month with my best friend and three other lovely women, but lasted 5 nights it was a bad experience we worked for about 6 hours a day doing tiring tasks like painting hours on end and taking out wasps and spider nests which was honestly horrific, we all tried our best but were told to work faster when we were trying our best, Francesco was rude to the girls and made comments about how much money they had (even though he has no idea) also he sent some nasty messages, he was also not flexible, it was hostile and for 4 young women, it felt threatening

The house after this person and their friends was full of trash and of empty bottles of alcoolics drinks. Zero respect for me, for the others volounteers, for the residents in the house. The help in my project was very limited because her personality. This was my first black experience with the volounteers in my entire life (I am 56)
