The eco village is a trully wonderfull village, I really had a great time meeting other travelers. The tasks we performed were completely different from what was mentioned in the post; instead of renovating old houses, we ended up working in an olive field... However, it was still a valuable learning experience.

The eco village is a beautiful village, though 10 days is plenty of time to explore since there's not much to do. I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and meeting other volunteers. The work was a bit tough but went by quickly. We renovated a room, scraping and painting, though we weren't given any protective gear like gloves or masks, and Francesco didn't mention bringing our own. He was quite strict during the tasks, which made things feel tense at times. Additionally, he pressured me to write a good review, and I noticed he did the same with other volunteers, which didn't feel right.

Viktorija is a good girl but unfortunately not very honest. She was influenced by another volunteer present at the same time so, even though she said she had a good time and would leave a positive feedback, in the end she lied and left a negative feedback that I will contest with the worldpackers staff. I was very patient with her when she made up an excuse to follow her friend and interrupt her volunteering period earlier than expected. Not very honest and a liar.

The eco village is a nice small village in the mountains, surrounded by nature and is a place to relax. People on the village are very friendly and authentic. Isn't easy to get there by bus so I recommend checking bus schedule before going to make sure you arrive at 6pm, which is the deadline for Francesco to meet you. If not you need to find another place to sleep. The work is hard and when I went we did renovations in an old house. We work between 3, 4 hours a day, what is nice, so you have a lot of free time. Francesco is very strict, but over time it becomes more friendly. Thanks Francesco!

This experience was nothing like I expected. It is not an “the eco village” and sustainable project, the tasks included helping Francesco with whatever he needed and cleaning. When we went to the olive field (we only went once) the tasks we hard but manageable, but Francesco's attitude was a whole new deal. He didn't seem to make an effort to make himself clear, we were kind of guessing what he wanted us to do and he constantly questioned our skills. He was not very patient when you didn't know how to do something. Finally the apartment where we stayed was kind of neglected and dusty.

I've had hundreds of volunteers in my house, this was one of the worst ever. If you have received a request for hospitality from him I advise you to evaluate this possibility very carefully to avoid having problems

The eco village is a beautiful semi abandoned isolated old city surrounded by beautiful mountains. This project is great for those who are looking for a place to slow down and relax. I spent really good times with other volunteers and other residents sharing meals and drinking good wine! You can also relax at the fireplace reading a book or watching a movie, or just go for a hike around. Thing is, the work itself is not exactly a renovation project. We spent most of our time maintaining the olive fields and cleaning around the house. Nevertheless, I loved it and really recommend it! Grazie Franceso

The eco village is a quiet and beautiful town surrounded by the mountains. During my stay there I helped with work in the house and in the olive field. It was an interesting experience to live in such an old town where all the locals are very kind.

I had a wonderful two weeks meeting international travellers, making friends and learning new skills. the eco village Colabro, itself, is a beautiful and peaceful place. The accommodation is lovely and cozy with a nice kitchen, bathroom and living space. Francesco is a really nice man with good humour and friendly demeanour. You must work hard but the work is enjoyable and social. Would love to do it again.

I loved this experience, the eco village is a beautiful place with wonderful people, it's a very laid back and relaxing environment, don't expect to have a busy week because it's a very small town with only one bar two shops. The house is a beautiful massive antique place with a view. I will never forget the cosy nights by the fireplace with other volunteers. Francesco is a very strict but also sweet and silly guy. He also let us look after one of his wonderful cats, which was the sweetest thing ever. The work is not hard and you take brakes, the views from the olive fields makes up for it.

Had a really positive experience the eco village. Was my first Worldpackers experience and I was here for a month. I met some really awesome people, and the town itself is quiet towards the winter period but still beautiful. On days off, you can take the bus to explore other nearby towns such as civita and castrovillari as we did. Work itself is fast-paced and hard, but it's only 15 hours a week. I mostly did olive picking, but we'd work longer hours so you'd get more days off to relax or explore. In the 4 weeks I was there, I only needed to work 6 days to make up my hours. Grazie Francesco :)
