This was by far the greatest experience!! Sophie and Charles-Henry welcomed me the first day with such familiarity and kindness that I felt at home immediately. They really were outstanding hosts and friends! the guest house was simply breathtaking with its rich history, beautiful buildings, and endless gardens.. I felt as if I had landed myself into a book! The work was honest and helpful, I really felt as though I was able to make a difference for the guest house. The surrounding area is also fantastic. So, I would highly recommend anyone to stay here!! Thank you again! Á bientôt!!

Without a doubt it was an unforgettable experience, both Sophie and Charles are very kind people, they make you feel welcome and are always willing to help you. It was my first volunteering experience and I will definitely do it again. I learned a lot, a beautiful place

My experience here was just wonderful. The whole place is stunning and I loved spending my free time walking around the beautiful grounds. The tasks were easy, hours were respected and everything was just as communicated beforehand. Sophie and Charles-Henri were super kind and welcoming, I always felt comfortable and right at home. I truly had a magical time and would definitely recommend :)

My time here was so so amazing, it's such a beautiful place to stay and exploring the grounds is such a magic experience. Sophie was very welcoming and makes sure you have everything you need. The working hours were very well respected and the work was always done together so I never felt alone with a task which was really nice. I will really miss visiting the horses and saying hello to the cats, this place is such a breath of fresh air, I loved it!

My experience at the guest house was unforgettable. The property and grounds are stunning and the living accommodations were very comfortable and clean. It's located in an ideal location so you can take trips to Paris and La Rochelle on the weekend! Work was clearly indicated beforehand and we adhered to the same schedule of work from 8AM-Noon everyday. I was so grateful to be able to explore the gardens and all the beautiful rooms in the castle+keep with other volunteers. This is a great opportunity for people who want to live life in the countryside and make a direct impact with marketing!

We hope that this experience was not too laborious, work in the garden is sometimes difficult and life in the Château rather grueling for those who are intrepid enough to try the adventure internally.
But the beauty of the Château de Saint-Loup sur Thouet is worth it, isn't it?

Uma experiência muito diferentel!! Sophie e Charles são muito amáveis e tiveram muita paciência comigo por ainda não conseguir me comunicar bem em inglês, dentre outras coisas como na alimentação e no conforto. O trabalho de jardinagem é sim um pouco puxado, então vá preparado para trabalhar e nada do que se alongar e ter o corpo preparado para esse tipo de experiência. Super recomendo esse voluntariado e agradeço muito por essa experiência de morar num castelo tão antigo, foi incrível!

What a beautiful experience! I stayed only two weeks but I wish I stayed more. The charm of the castle and the keep is The tasks were sometimes a bit exhausting but you can go at your own pace and the view makes it all worth it. You will also have a lot of free time to bike in the countryside, ride the boat in the river or take weekend trips to La Rochelle :) Sophie and Charles-Henry were kindhearted funny and welcoming. I cannot recommend this experience enough.

It's hard to know where to begin… It was my first time volunteering and I had the most amazing experience with Sophie and Charles! They are both kind and caring people who welcomed me like I was family and made my experience whole with the talks at the table, the wine shared and by showing me the surroundings. About the work, all the hours and activities were respect and they were pretty flexible with a situation I had coming back from the weekend trip, letting me rest during the morning. Sophie and Charles, I'm extremely greatful for the week we spent together, I'll remember it forever!

Volunteering at the guest house was an incredible experience! The hosts, Sophie and Charles-Henri, were so welcoming, and fed us delicious food. They also took us for visits to cool local spots! The village and bus stop are a minute walk away from the guest house, so everything was accessible. The daily work was mostly in the garden, but sometimes it was social media. The tasks were well explained, and the hours were always respected! I won't forget the beauty of the guest house, the kindness of my hosts, and the friendships with my fellow volunteers! I'd recommend it, 100%. Merci beaucoup!
