I'm really glad I got to stay here. I spent a month here, and the work wasn't too difficult. I had plenty of free time to talk with other volunteers and travel together, which I really enjoyed. The atmosphere was great, and everyone was friendly, so it felt very comfortable being here. It also helped me improve my English a lot, which I really appreciated. The manager was kind and supportive as well, so overall it was a wonderful experience.

My time at the hostel was as an indelible experience rich with opportunities to meet people and explore the City of Edinburgh. The workload was very well balanced with rostered shifts being clear and concise. The team were also super welcoming and friendly.

That's already my second review for the hostel because there's no choice but coming back after a first time there ! the hostel is a home for every volunteer and is a unforgettable experience. All the volunteers are beautiful souls and the hostel is the coziest and funniest place to stay. From the easy work to the super fun activities we organize all together. Every single day was so special and will stay in my heart. It was my second stay and I will keep coming back as much as I can. A big thank you to everyone for making this place so heartwarming I miss it already so much.

It was a fantastic experience! The work was easy and flexible. The team worked together in a very organized way, and everyone was highly responsible. After finishing our tasks, we had plenty of free time and all kinds of different activities. It truly felt like one big family — everyone was so kind and friendly. I met such wonderful people here, learned so many new skills, and grew a lot as a person. I'm really, really reluctant to leave.:)🧡☀️

This was my first volunteering experience through Worldpackers and I had a great time. the hostel has 10+ volunteers and staff who were incredibly friendly as soon as I arrived and integrated me into daily hostel events. The work schedule was clear and as described, and the shifts vary between mornings and evenings which enables plenty of time to explore Edinburgh. the hostel has a cosy, welcoming atmosphere and is ideally located in Haymarket (a 25-minute walk to the busy old town and great transport links elsewhere). Thank you Stephanie and team!

This is my second experience and from the beginning I felt so welcomed by the staff and the crew. The schedule was very well structured and clear. The workhours was perfect and shifted so you had time to do different things at different times. There was a bunch of activities to do at the hostel and also in the city of Edinburgh. It is located perfectly by the trainstation and close to everything. I developed my understanding of the world and different cultures and made friends for life. This felt like a second home and so I extended my stay. I will definitely return as soon as I can!!!

This was my first experience volunteering with Worldpackers, and it was absolutely amazing! I met so many kind people and the shifts were very simple and easy. the hostel is also very close to the center of Edinburgh so its easy to walk around anywhere. I would definitely recommend as it was an experience I wont forget. :)

My very first Worldpackers experience was perfect, thanks to Stephanie, a kind and supportive host who genuinely cares. When I lost my phone, she helped me until I got it back. But this place is so much more—it's a lively community where strangers instantly feel like family. I ended up extending my stay for weeks because time here flies by so fast you don't even notice. The days are full of fun, events, and heartfelt human connection. I wasn't just volunteering; I was living and creating memories with friends. It's a priceless experience that sets the bar incredibly high.

The hostel has been my first Volunteering in a Hostel and I couldn't ask for a better experience. It really felt like home and I will never forget every single person I met there. The work was really easy and let a lot of time for yourself. The activities we planned during the week were also unique and super fun like fire camp on the beach or Line Dance at the pub ! I'm really grateful for every day I spent there and couldn't help but extend my stay to enjoy it a bit more before my next adventures. Thank you for everything the hostel 🫶
