I had a wonderful time at LOL hostel. The work was very easy, although I was here during the off-season so maybe during summer months it would be a bit busier! The workload chill and the hours were exactly as agreed. The accomodation although basic was perfect for me, and had eveything I needed. Chris and Massimo were so kind and helpful the whole time! They were very warm and welcoming and I felt I could have gone to them with any problems. The city of Siracusa is beautiful and if you like to swim I think you will like it here. I am so grateful for my experience here, and hope to be back <3

This was my first volunteer experience and it couldn't have been better than this. I had an awesome time at LOL hostel and in the beautiful Siracusa. The staff is soooo nice (Christian and Massimo, grazie mille!) and the others workers/volunteers were amazing also. The tasks were simple and exciting, so glad I had the opportunity to develop important skills at the reception and at the bar. I hope to come back next summer. Ci vediamo!

My experience at the hostel was absolutely incredible! I highly recommend it! It was my first experience as a volunteer and it was perfect. My contact with both Massimo and Christian was very easy and friendly at all times. I felt welcomed and appreciated from the start. The job in itself is easy and very gratifying if you are a sociable person. There is room for new ideas and for the expression of anyone with a vibrant personnality! If you are spontaneous, adventurous, you like the sun, the beach, art and culture this place is perfect for you!!

I'm still volunteering at this hostel & it's been such a great experience. Nico and Khris are fantastic hosts and have taught me so much about the region and Italian culture in general. Always super communicative & approachable. I really feel at home here. The volunteering itself is very manageable and fun. You have the opportunity to meet people from many different places.

Overall my experience at Lol hostel was amazing, I spent a very relaxing and fun month in Siracusa. The area is so beautiful and there is lots to explore around. The work is primarily bartending and it's straightforward. Nico and Khris are lovely, they make you feel very welcome and comfortable. It is a warm environment to be in as a solo traveller. The only problem was the apartment the volunteers live in. It has no air conditioning and there was a heatwave during my stay. After we complained the issue was resolved with portable air conditioning units. I would 100% recommend!

I had a great experience at Lol Hostel. Massimo, Nicholas and Christian are excellent people. The job is easy and the hostel is super nice where to meet international travelers . We volunteers had an apartment for accommodation, 2 minutes walking from the hostel. Thank you guys!

A fantastic workplace to volunteer at! Nicholas & Christian are the nicest men you will meet & LOL hostel is great because of their hard work. The work is easy & social, working on the bar and helping out in reception. Issue: the volunteer living standards were not satisfactory. Massimo (the owner) was doing his best to accommodate us, but the landlord of the volunteers apartment was slow to fix our broken toilet & shower. We constantly lived between the hostel & apartment (stressful) & the apartment did not have air conditioning (35 degree nights not nice). Hostel was better to live in.

Beautiful place and people. Massimo is such a nice guy, open minded, respectful and hard worker. Anything you need you can count with him. Is always keen to help you learning Italian and offering some local foods to the volunteers. I had such a nice month living in siracusa and doing reception / bar at LOL Hostel. Everything is close, walking distance to many spots to swim and doing snorkel. The rest of the team was super nice as well. 100% recommended if you wanna go in Sicilia.
