It is located in the center of Siracusa, 50 meters from the train and bus station. All the trains and buses from and to every destination and the best beaches in Siracusa arrive and leave from here.

We can arrange together longer or shorter shifts, depending on your preferences and our needs. Please note there could be night shifts involved. No rules, just loyalty and mutual respect.

Mr.Massimo was kind and helpful. The hostel team (Kris, Pilar, Nico and Irena) was totally amazing! Great communication, flexibility in the working schedule, patient in teaching us all the necessary in order to work at the reception and the bar and absolutely caring about our needs. The apartment that was offered was a bit old and not really well preserved and equipped, but it was really close to the hostel, so we had the ability to cook there and have internet access there. As a general experience, I would suggest it to other potential volunteers for sure! :)

I really enjoyed my experience at Lol Hostel. The entire team is warm and attentive, and the volunteers have their own space, which is very convenient and comfortable. I also had plenty of free time to relax and explore Syracuse and the surrounding areas, which I’m very grateful for.

The only small point is that I expected to work a bit more at the bar, but during my stay the hostel received groups of teenagers, so the volunteers mainly helped with the dinners. Still, the schedules were always flexible and easy-going, and I never felt overwhelmed. I truly recommend this experience to anyone ✨

Wonderful experience! Lol Hostel was my first host and visiting Siracusa was my first time solo travelling. Everybody on the staff is extremely kind and made me feel welcome, even before I arrived! I got to meet many kind people, travellers and locals, and got to practice Italian:)
Siracusa is beautiful and there’s a good bus system to explore the surrounding areas and cities. The work hours were always communicated clearly and respected and the tasks were mostly easy.
I would ask the host if there are many groups staying or check if there are other volunteers at the same time!

Fue una gran experiencia trabajar en Lol Hostel y vivir en Siracusa, Sicilia es maravillosa! Pilar ha sido una gran anfitriona, muy cálida y muy divertida. Tuve bastante tiempo libre para conocer más lugares en la isla:)
