I absolutely cannot recommend this experience enough. Ricardo and Nélia welcome you with open arms and make it such a positive experience. The farm is in a great location and is very flexible with days off to allow you to explore. Ricardo has tons of recommendations in the area and they both will bring you along with them when they go out and show you the area. The work is easy and Nélia's cooking is amazing!! It's such an amazing opportunity with amazing hosts and if you can come you absolutely should, just bring big spray :)

Super recommend this experience! The farm itself is organized and definitely is not a dirty workplace as some people wonder. I have learned about growing berries and made me more conscious about it, valuing even more. I'd like to highlight the hospitality here, I felt welcomed and safe and was great having the pool available. Everyone, specially Nalia, was tireless cooking for us, helping with rides and tour tips. I was able to explore unforgettable places in Algarve and local food. Just be aware and prepared for mosquitos, low internet and Uber to go places. I can say I did great friends:)

Eu gostei muito, o trabalho é tranquilo de ser realizado e tive a oportunidade de conhecer o processo do cultivo das framboesas e amoras. ORicardo e a Nélia, sua Mãe, são Anfitriões acolhedores atenciosos, flexíveis e possuem uma equipe de funcionários, pontuais e comprometidos com o negócio. Aprendi que as framboesas são frágeis e por essa razão, o seu manuseio e colheita devem ser feitos com o máximo cuidado para não danificar o fruto. Me conectei com a natureza, conheci pessoas, lugares novos, um pouco da gastronomia portuguesa e a Nélia faz comidas deliciosas!!!

I absolutely adored my time at the farm! Ricardo is helpful, respectful and flexible with the work hours, and Nelia is the kindest, most caring person I have ever met in my life. Everybody, including the guys who work on the farm, made me feel so welcome and I felt settled from my very first day. I really quite enjoyed the work- it can be very hot and very dirty but that makes it a bit fun. Nelia's cooking is incredible and you won't be hungry. 10/10 experience, very much recommend.

A experiência foi como viajar para interior e ter dias relaxantes lendo na fazendo (nas tardes em que não trabalhava). Ao mesmo tempo que está perto da praia e é fácil para conhecer o Algarve. Por essa razão o verão é uma estação perfeita, mas para isso venha preparado para os mosquitos. Todos foram gentils e solicitos para ajudar.

Had a great time! Everyone was very welcoming. It was a little overwhelming at first but I eventually settled in and it was fine! Definitely bring bug spray! You'll need it when working

After staying here for a month, I can honestly say that everyone was very kind, hardworking and welcoming! I am truly grateful. If you want to see how a family run fruit farm operates and get the chance to experience the stunning Algarve on your time off, this is the place to be! Just don't forget your insect repellent for your work outside on the farm 😉

I had a great experience at the farm! The work was exactly as expected, Ricardo answered any questions I had about the farm and everyone was very kind during the entire experience. I highly recommend this opportunity, but I do want to make one note completely unrelated to the work experience, but I feel may be helpful for others to know—there are dogs that bark at night and may be disruptive to light sleepers. Overall, incredible experience!!

Gostei muito da minha experiência no sítio, Ricardo e seus pais foram muito receptivos e me trataram super bem. O trabalho é tranquilo, o lugar é muito bonito e conheci lindas praias. Fiz amizades com meninas da Argentina e Colômbia e o Fernando que trabalha na fazenda é muito divertido. Foi meu primeiro voluntariado e com certeza recomendo.

Muito agradável!!!! Nélia é uma mulher maravilhosa a cargo dos voluntários, faz tão boa comida!!! E está pendente de que tenhamos uma boa estadia! Ricardo também é um ser incrível! Aprendi muito dele! Fue muy agradable estar estos días acá! Nélia és uma mujer maravillosa, que es quien está a cargo de los voluntarios, y cocina maravilloso! 10/10!! Y esta pendiente de que lo tengamos una buena estadía! Ricardo también es un ser increíble! Aprendi mucho de él!
