I had a wonderful experience at the hostel. The dates I was working were communicated clearly on my first day there. There was never too much work and we worked together with other volunteers. Also, the living room was a great place to socialize and make plans. I'd recommend it and the other employees there were communicative and helpful. The two primary activities volunteers had were cleaning bathrooms and making beds.

The place is cozy and clean, with volunteers staying in a mixed 12-bed dorm. Breakfast prep starts at 7:30 a.m., followed by housekeeping at 10 a.m. (cleaning, laundry, bed-making, etc.). Stone, Carol, and Tim are very accommodating, and with Nell around, I sometimes worked overtime 🥲 when there were more check-outs than usual. I couldn't finish my two-week stay due to a health issue, but overall it was a great first volunteering experience — I met amazing travelers and loved exchanging stories. 💛

I was placed at the NTU branch so there weren't party promoter nor reception-related responsibilities. My responsibilities only encompassed housekeeping and cleaning. Overall, it was a good learning experience because I didn't have any previous formal experience in those areas. My favorite part was meeting many friendly locals who stayed at the hostel. Nell is a part-time employee who was super helpful with communication and helped a lot around the hostel.

I absolutely loved my 2 weeks there!! The hostel is in a perfect location, the team is super nice & helpful and the work is easy/managable. I had plenty of time to discover Taipei with the other volunteers and guests after work and the rest of Taiwan on the days off. I cannot recommend it enough and would love to come back!

I had a wonderful experience volunteering at the hostel for two weeks. The work was manageable, and once it was done, there was plenty of free time to explore Taiwan. Team: The team at the hostel was kind and always ready to help. Location: The hostel's location is ideal—well-connected to the airport MRT, railway the hostel, and bus terminal. It's also close to several tourist attractions. It was a pleasure meeting the team and other incredible people from around the world and learning more about Taiwan and other cultures. I'll definitely return to the hostel, whether as a volunteer or traveler.

It's such a wonderful experience to be part of the Mayroom team. Tim has been a big help and very accommodating. You will meet a lot of travelers and locals. Also, you will have plenty of time to explore the city. Recommended to all, Thank you the hostel Team!

This is my first volunteer and I am so grateful for this opportunity! I'm so happy meeting with the team, Stone, Tim, Komo! They are very kind and nice! They always make sure I'm comfortable while staying there. Schedule is given before reaching there and the tasks are straightforward and easy to understand. If you finished earlier you may leave earlier and have fun for the rest of the day! I truly recommend to volunteer here as I don't feel any pressure at all, just do my tasks and connect with ppl then have fun explore Taipei!! I'll be back!! Thanks for everything!! <3
