This was my experience as a volunteer but after it I will surely continue to do volunteer experience or even come back to the hostel again! The tasks are easy and easily learnable and even if the work hours may seem a lot, a good part of the time is just spent checking the cleanliness of the hostel and interact with guests while the main work is during cheak-outs, making beds and cleaning dorms. The work environment is very chill and friendly and the vibe is always good. Nelson and the other volunteers/staff are always available to help and to spend time together.

I had a great experience volunteering at the hostel, unfortunately, my time was cut short to a family issue which was a massive shame. But I enjoyed my time here.

The hostel was my first experience as a volunteer. I don't have words to describe how much love and joy my month there has brought into my life! I made a lot of friends, some of them probably for life; everyday I had the chance to meet people from all across the world, to talk to them and learning about their backgrounds. The staff at the hostel is welcoming and always available for any needs/doubts, the tasks are easy to learn and the timetable of the shifts is always respected. Extremely grateful for this experience. Absolutely recommended!

Foi meu primeiro voluntariado e não poderia ter escolhido outro lugar melhor que não fosse esse, anfitrião e as pessoas que lá trabalham são pessoas maravilhosas, o Nelson que é o dono é uma pessoa receptiva e muito preocupado sempre em saber se está correndo tudo bem, se está faltando algo, não tenho nenhum ponto negativo a apontar, apenas pontos positivos, e só tenho a agradecer pois somou muito pra mim. Lá pude praticar o meu inglês, pois pela boa avaliação do hostel nas plataformas, tem hóspedes do mundo inteiro que passam por lá!!! Obrigada!!

O meu primeiro voluntariado não poderia ter sido melhor! o hostel te faz sentir como se nunca tivesse saído de casa, te acolhendo com os braços abertos e ajudando a ter a melhor experiência possível. É um ambiente sossegado, agradável e cheio de diversão. O trabalho do voluntariado é bem tranquilo, e toda a equipe me ajudou no que eu precisei. Durante os 3 meses que fiquei, não teve um dia sequer que passei sem rir, me divertir e aproveitar com o staff e os hóspedes. Com certeza é um lugar que vou levar pra vida e sempre vou querer voltar! Muito obrigada o hostel! :)

The hostel was my first volunteering and it went beyond my expectations! Everyone in the team was extremely welcoming since the very first day. I learned new tasks daily, little by little, what made the chores easy to understand and carry out. I learned a lot about hostel management and the history of Braga, what made me more confident to talk to guests and to even come up with ideas to improve their stay in the hostel. Thank you, Nelson, Rafa and Aníbal, for such a wonderful time!! I definitely feel like I have a second family in Portugal ❤︎❤︎

The hostel was a great experience. I was warmly welcomed and well trained and prepared for my task from the Team. The atmosphere is pretty familiar, because many guests stay longer and you really can get to know them. The hostel is direclty in the center The work is well organised and the days of are highly respected. Everyone staff and worldpackers do the same work which is very fair. The work is like in the comittment. I learned a lot and make good friends. The vibe for working is always positive and helpful. Food is fully included and collegues eat together. Highly recomented

O hostel foi um lugar que me acolheu super bem. Não tenho palavras para agradecer a gentileza de todos comigo. Nelson é uma pessoa muito boa, muito simpático e hospitaleiro. Carla foi uma amiga que me conquistou e Rafa também. Senti-me em casa. O trabalho era super tranquilo. Espero voltar logo! :D Super recomendo aos viajantes! Tanto o hostel quanto a cidade de Braga que é belíssima e com pessoas muito agradáveis.
