Casa De Los Cuadros

If you are interested in real Spanish culture and living like a local then this is for you. Otherwise, you will be more suited to somewhere busier and may find it too quiet.

It is not isolated and has a few bars and restaurants in the village, with more to explore in the nearby towns. But it is quiet, rural and relaxing.

If you want lots of people and bars, shops, special dietary foods in the village, then this won't be suitable. But you can get to famous Ronda in 45 minutes by bus and the beautiful town of Grazalema in 15 minutes by bus.

The region is one of the sunniest parts of Spain. Lots of winter sunshine too. The house is heated in winter and very comfortable in all seasons.

Steve is a photographer and Dawn is in Marketing. We both love walking and exploring. Paula is our manager and she lives in the village, she is Spanish & speaks English. Depending on the time of year that you stay, it could be working with Paula and you stay in our apartment or it could be working with us. If we are not there then you will need to cook and be independent.

I had a really great experience at Casa De Los Cuadros. The tasks/work were varied and manageable within the allotted work hours, leaving the rest of the day for free time to explore the beautiful nature and neighbouring villages/towns. The facilities provided for volunteers, including accommodation and food, were very comfortable and nice. Finally, Dawn and Steve were generous and welcoming hosts who looked after me well and really contributed to my positive experience. Thank you very much!

Fue mi primer voluntariado y estoy muy feliz! El lugar es muy tranquilo y pacifico, conectas mucho con la naturaleza. Steve y Dawn fueron muy amables y respetuosos, cocinan delicioso. Tienen 2 perritos Zorro y Raspa que son un amor. Se respetan tus horas de trabajo, valore mucho eso. Me encanto la experiencia y lo aprendido!
PD. Les comente que la pizza es mi comida favorita, y me hicieron pizza casera súper deliciosa la ultima noche, fue muy especial.

This was my first WP experience and I had a good time. I think the experience might have been a bit different if there had been other volunteers at the same time as me. Sometimes I found it hard to know what I needed to be doing and would have benefited from more structure. All in all, it was a good experience and Steve and Dawn were good hosts who kindly took me on a few day/afternoon excursions outside of the village, which is a huge plus. The village itself and all the hiking in the area is a great perk of this WP. Thanks Steve and Dawn for the time.

The dogs are really sweet and the village and the nauture are beautiful. Steve and Dawn are very nice and the work was not hard. Me and my friends had a lot of time to go hiking and enjoyed our quiet christmas.

The hosts were super nice and the dogs were really sweet. The tasks were easy and we had a lot of free time so we were able to see much of the village and go on hikes (the place is ideal for hikes). All in all it was a great experience
