Life on land has a direct impact on sea life and, by raising awareness and educating people on how our daily actions affect it, we can improve Life Below Water conditions. As a traveler, you’ll contribute to this cause by doing coral restoration, trash management, running events with local schools to educate local students in coral sorting, planting and roving projects.
Our program is specifically designed to educate about the ocean ecosystem and methods for minimizing our impact on it. We focus on initiatives such as coral rehabilitation, manta identification, net removal, plastic removal, and promoting social awareness of ocean-friendly practices. Additionally, we address strategies for mitigating existing damage to the ocean.
Our projects operate under proven and sanctioned scientific methodology, in collaboration with organizations such as the Coral Triangle Center, Scuba Schools International, and Gili Shark Conservation. We promote open and critical thinking among traveler, with our main goal being to raise awareness and take action on issues affecting the underwater ecosystem and its interactions with life on land.
Our programs for preserving and recovering underwater ecosystems primarily focus on activities originating from land: we educate people about the importance of avoiding over-extraction of resources from the ocean and protecting vulnerable species. This includes preventing trash from entering the ocean and implementing effective trash management practices such as recycling. Additionally, having an incinerator with a catalytic converter helps ensure responsible waste disposal, ultimately contributing to the health of the reef.
