Tim and Kate are really nice and always care about everyone's well-being. I initially applied to stay for two months and ended up staying for five! The work and schedule are always respected, and the hostel is very well-maintained and clean. Liverpool is a wonderful city, we have easy transportation options. the hostel is a great place to make friends from all over the world and if you want to practice English, it's the right place.I had wonderful experiences with the other staff members. Thank you, Tim for this opportunity, all the conversations and for always making me feel safe and at home

The hostel was a very pleasant experience. Tim is a great host, always attentive to the needs of the volunteers and in constant communication with us. The hostel is nice and I was able to meet people from Liverpool as well as backpackers from all over the world. The location is great if you are a football fan, and it is very easy to access the bus lines to do the whole Beatle tour if you are also a fan. Thanks for the opportunity Tim! We will see each other again ❣️

My second time to return to this volunteering experience. I enjoyed it that much that I came back again. Really enjoyed my time staying in Liverpool. This Hostel was an amazing experience for myself. What made it special was the other volunteers and also the staff. There's lots to do in Liverpool from walking tours to meeting all the guests for all over the world. I definitely have fond memories of this place and no doubt I will return back to Liverpool again. A big thank you to everyone from the bottom of my heart. 💕💕💕

The time I spent at the hostel was really nice, the interaction with the guests is always pleasant and fun, it's perfect for having a multicultural experience, plus, around the hostel there are several places that can be visited like a local, and it's very easy to get to the center. The tasks are very simple. Tim, Kate, and Emma are very kind and attentive, always looking out for your well-being. The collaboration with the rest of the staff was truly wonderful; living day-to-day at the hostel feels like home.

This was my second volunteering experience and it was great! The hostel is small and calm, the work is easy, and although I felt a bit lonely at first because I was the only volunteer, having a room just to myself was amazing. The managers are very kind and helpful, ask them to train you on cleaning and room prep when you arrive, it really helps!! They also provide breakfast and even bought vegan options for me. The location is super convenient, with a bus stop right in front that gets you to the city centre in about 20 minutes. Thank you Tim, Kate and Emma! :)

Fui bem recebida, mas pra ser sincera, me inscrevi na vaga pensando que seria algo mais sociável como nas fotos, mas é bem diferente. São apenas 2 voluntários por vez, o hostel basicamente não tem guests e mesmo assim os voluntários são constantemente cobrados para conseguir reviews mas não tem como, pois o hostel tem um sistema de self check-in, então basicamente não se tem contato com os guests. O host dizia sempre que expulsava voluntários o tempo todo e isso me deixava ansiosa. Precisei sair mais cedo pois tive uma oportunidade de emprego e o host aparentemente recebeu bem.

Vá se quiser ser tratado como um funcionário. 1° a enganação: as fotos são de anos atrás, o hostel tem outra vibe hoje, tu acredita que vai ser algo sociável, mas o hostel não tem hóspedes, os poucos fazem self check-in e o turno é passar 6 horas sentado caso alguém apareça. O dono reclamou pois eu ficava no sofá, que eu tinha que ficar na cadeira de plástico, mesmo eu dizendo que ficava desconfortável lá. Ele tem histórico de expulsar voluntários, justamente por nos ver como empregados. Você vai ter o mínimo do mínimo nessa experiência. Saí antes do combinado e não recomendo.

Solo estuve 1 semana, pues el Host me pidió que no continuara más y me dio 5 días para irme del lugar, entendí que quería que mi comunicación fuera más fluida y por ende tener inglés avanzado, si bien le mencioné antes de cerrar el acuerdo que mi inglés era básico, también entendí que quería que estuviera sonriendo todo el tiempo, y creo que no logre ello, en lo que sí me ayudó fue en que pude dejar mi maleta en su hostel mientras buscaba soluciones de nuevo alojamiento, así que aceptó y luego pude recoger mi maleta sin problemas, en general, para personas con inglés básico No lo recomiendo.

After one month in the hostel, I can say practice my English, socialized with many foreign people and improve my management skills. Tim tries to be around to help or see if we need something, but he trusts us to get the job done and to give a warm welcoming to the guest. We have weekly shifts, depending on the check-ins and the volunteers, the chores simple. I met great people here, felt secure, and had tons of time to visit the city, and it's well located to visit other cities/countries nearby. Thank you Tim & Kate for all the support, help, advices and make me feel part of something. :)
