My experience in the Liverpool Pod was amazing. From the first moment they made me feel like in home, like I'm part of the family. The other volunteers were also amazing people that made my trip unforgettable. The atmosphere is really nice. The tasks are really easy and it allows you to have a lot of free time. The hostel location it's perfect if you like football. You can see Goodison Park from the windows. Liverpool is an amazing city with a lot of culture and history. There are a lot of things to do for free if you go with a low budget. I'm going to miss y'all ❤️ hope to see you soon

My experience was not good, if I loved the work team and the work itself, but on three occasions the owner Joseph has treated me very badly and even humiliating without knowing why, the times I tried to talk to him, he did not want to listen to me , is a person of changing character, who had already read here, but I never imagined that I would live it in my own flesh, they never treated me with such disrespect and I think that for us volunteers it is important to know. Without a doubt, he never had a reason, because when I sent him a message that said how I felt, he never responded.

You had minimalistic motivation.

You stayed & took up a bed space from someone who would have been a lot more productive than you.

All noticed you wasn’t interested in helping. Gül asked & told you - you are free to leave but stayed for free ride and did nothing. One has to ask, if you wasn’t happy why did you not leave.

You told Volunteers,
don’t clean the rooms, they don’t need to cleaning.

Fee paying guests such as Alan, commented negatively towards you, you just weren’t liked.

Every single volunteer within that working group have all thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

We hope that you learn in future that you can’t just come to a place, use the facilities, take everything and give nothing in return and then expect to get a good review.

The hostel is a pleasant place where you feel like you're at home. Simple and well-organised tasks and no matter your English level because there is room for everyone (which is a good thing if you want to learn the language). It was an adventure to meet so many people from all over the world and an unforgettable experience, also thanks to the whole staff who made it very enjoyable. Highly recommended!

É uma coisa surreal o que acontece nesse hostel, em especial no que se trata do dono e host, um homem de meia-idade que não é a pessoa listada aqui. Durante a minha estadia ele se mostrou diversas vezes um homem completamente incapaz de comunicar e instruir o staff, totalmente averso a qualquer tipo de critica, e indisponível a qualquer tipo de conversa honesta com os helpers. Eu também presenciei diversas vezes ele fazendo acusações seríssimas sem qualquer tipo de justificação, prova, ou motivo alem de mentiras descaradas sobre voluntários e hóspedes. Mais info na DM!

“ONE OF THE WORST HELPERS BY FAR”
We learnt Ricardo came with the intention of doing as little as possible.
He surely liked the free breakfast and chocolate chip breads in the morning, in no time fell in love with our coffee machine ☕️☕️☕️

Our experience with Ricardo was dreadful, he alienated other helpers within the work, had to prompt him to get out of bed and remind to contribute, the cleaning task proved difficult and other helpers had do this after him. We cut his stay short because this arrangement proved all one sided, He seen us as a transit vehicle for a free feet up holiday.

We’d urge any future applicants to message any previous volunteers and ask how they found staying with us.

This is a small and fairly new hostel that is an awesome place to meet new people, especially guests. The common area is the heart of this place, and all will gather to eat, talk, or just work on their laptop. There are plenty of places to go in the city and its surroundings!

It's quite difficult for me to talk about The Liverpool Pod. I mean, my experience definitely couldn't have been better. Since the first time I got there, the staff made me feel at home. People are truly kind and preoccupied with you, always working on to make you feel really integrated. I really recommend this place for those who like to feel part of a group and know what means team work. If you're selfish and have a hostile behaviour, that is definitely not for you. job is quite easy. So, just don't be lazy! I hope to be back and I wish all the best to the amazing place and staff!

My experience in this hostel was amazing, the hostel has a great atmosphere, joseph ( the mannager ) is extremly nice, he make me feel safe and like home all the time. The hostel is 15 minutes in bus from the city center, you have shops and pubs nearby. The hostel Is clean and nice! I recomend it to anyone! Coming back soon!
