Tofino Hostel - Whalers Guesthouse
We are an award-winning, family-friendly, mid-size boutique hostel with guesthouse vibes in beautiful Tofino - on the Westcoast of Canada. We focus on providing a family oriented and laid back environment where guests can relax and meet fellow travelers from Canada and all around the world. Our hostel is the perfect spot for exploring the Tofino/ Clayoquot Sound area. We are located on the water right in downtown Tofino with breath-taking (one million dollar!) views of Clayoquot Sound and the 5,000-year-old village of Opitsat, a community of the Tla-o-qui-aht people and Nuu-chah-nulth nation. We also take great pride in providing a green friendly guesthouse/hostel - we recycle, compost and strive to use sustainable cleaning products whenever possible.
We are a small, family-like team from all around the world (all in our mid-twenties to mid/end thirties). We are NOT (!) a party place. We are the perfect spot to meet people interested in the outdoors, nature, culture and all the beautiful things Tofino and this part of Vancouver Island has to offer. We are looking for friendly, mature and respectful volunteers to join us here in Tofino.

The time I spent here was amazing and I felt comfortable from the moment I arrived. The team here is wonderful and Tofino is an incredibly beautiful place that I was lucky enough to be able to thoroughly explore while I volunteered at the hostel.

I had a really good time in the Tofino Hostel, I truly recommend this place! 😁
Staff, others volunteers and guests were very nice, I learned a lot about housekeeping and cleaning 👌
This hostel is the cleaner I've ever seen, it's also very comfy

Gael was a great addition to our team. He is a super friendly easy going person. He got along well with everyone in the team. He was always punctual and willing to work. His helpful nature and great energy greatly contributed to the hostel’s daily operations. Gael was a pleasure to be around and would happily have him again. Wish him the best in his new job in town and his travels !

The whalers point hostel is the perfect mix of good vibes,stunning view, immersion in the vancouver island wildlife and amazing people.
The hostel is clean and well organised thanks to the amazing team that live and work there,they have transformed my non organised trip in a life experience,miss you all 😘

Alessio was an absolute pleasure to host! He's incredibly friendly, easy-going, and fit right into our team from day one. During his time with us, he took initiatives and consistently carried out housekeeping tasks with care and attention to detail. His positive attitude and willingness to help was really appreciated in the daily running of our hostel. Alessio brought great energy , we would gladly welcome him back anytime! Safe travels!
