We recently have renewed and restarted this page since more backpackers have been coming back to Tokyo and I have been getting more requests about this program "FREE ACCOMMODATION" since this year 2023.
If you are travelling or staying in Tokyo or Japan with working holiday VISA,student VISA, or work VISA, please have a look at our page "FREE ACCOMMODATION" program.
It will surely give you some good idea about your stay in Tokyo.
Many travelers have been making the best use of our program and enjoyed this community, and moved on to next destinations.
In this program, you could save money, get nice place to sleep, make new friends, learn more about Tokyo, Japan, and get ready for next destination!
We are located in Asakusa, one of the most friendly, international and historic neighborhoods in Tokyo. It's only 10 minutes walk from Asakusa station. Asakusa station provides direct access to both Ginza Line and Asakusa Line. Moreover, the Tokyo Skytree is located within 17 minutes walking distance.
Come and enjoy our open and warm atmosphere!

My 2 months at Nomad were great. The staff were so kind and always fostered a welcoming environment for us volunteers and guests.
The location was ideal if you prefer staying in a neighbourhood that is quiet, yet still very accessible to the heart of Tokyo.
I highly recommend this to people that are looking to stay in Tokyo a little more long term, or looking to even start a life in Tokyo. The dorms are great for privacy and space.

I had great time in Nomadshare!
Local staff members were really friendly and helped me out settling in. Nice environment to meet other volunteers and guests from all over the world.
The location is good: Walkable distance from busy Asakusa and Skytree, but the actual sharehouse is in a quiet neighborhood. You can take a walk along the Sumida river or visit parks nearby and you have 3 train lines very close (Asakusa, Ginza and Oedo)
The rooms are small (as you can expect) but it was perfect for having some privacy and I definitely prefer small rooms over only shared bunkbeds.

Nomadshare was my first volunteering opportunity in Japan, and it definitely set the bar! All of the staff are super lovely and helpful, as well as the volunteers who stay being really friendly. Hours are reasonable and agreed upon. The rooms are definitely worth it, one of the best I’ve seen!

Nomadshare was highly recommended to me, and I'm so glad it was - an amazing first WorldPackers experience!
The accomodation is great, with the private space, and in a quiet neighborhood close to popular Asakusa.
A highlight for me was working with the lovely staff who always brightened my workdays, and even taught me some Japanese.
This place quickly felt like home and l'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking to experience Tokyo :)

I had an excellent stay at Nomadshare! Kase-san and the rest of the staff are all super kind and very accommodating, the work is easy and fair, and the facilities are very clean and and convenient. There are lots of other volunteers as well as travelers so meeting people and having fun feels really natural. The hostel is also in a really great area with lots of stuff to do, so it's almost impossible to get bored! Would definitely recommend volunteering here to anyone who wants to experience Tokyo.
