La Ventana Azul Surf Hostel
Our place is fun, directly at the surf spot, sunny most of the time during the year. The island has a lot of micro climates, you can enjoy hiking in mountains, different types of sport, socialising with guests, find new friends.
We always make sure volunteers have everything they need to feel at home and spend some good time with the rest of the Team and Guests. During our weekly meeting we try to coordinate, support and motivate eachother to reach our goals. We also schedule activities for the following weeks.

La Ventana is a very special place! I LOVED my time there! You will feel at home. The connection is created easily between the guests or/and the volunteers. A huge thanks to Paul - the manager - who handles perfectly the organization and communication with the volunteers: everything is clear and organized!
The challenges for me were:
- as a beginner the spot is really hard to surf, so I did not progress a lot (also no access to surf board. But you can get some free surf lesson, it’s a good benefit)
- you have to be ready to do some cleaning/making beds for real during shifts

It was an amazing experience, a place where you instantly feel at home. The atmosphere is relaxed, the work well organised and respectful of hours.
Everyone was kind, genuine and welcoming!

I loved this place so much that I had to come back a second time, and once again I had a wonderful time at La Ventana Azul. From the very first moment, you feel welcomed and at home. The combination of the other volunteers and the manager, Paul, creates a warm, family-like atmosphere that makes the stay truly special. Thank you for everything ¡Hasta luego!💛💛

From the first moment on I felt welcome and included. The members of the team and the awesome manager Paul work together closely and everybody is happy to lend a helping hand whenever needed.
Communication is respectful and clear, tasks are very managable and outlined well from the start.
Socializing is easy, also with guests, e.g. during the different events. The hostel has a chill and fun atmosphere and Paul makes sure the work environment is good for the team.
I had a fantastic time and would recommend this hostel to everyone! Gracias a todos!! ❤️

I had such a great experience in La Ventana Azul Hostel! Paul and all the other volunteers were super friendly and welcoming. The work was pretty chill and never more than what he told us at the beginning. The hostel felt like a second home since my first day there. Can‘t wait to come back! :))
