The nature is amazing for hiking and it was fun to Surf and meet new people. I enjoyed the ocean and Surf lessons. However the Room for the Volunteers needs to be renovated as it was very Humid and the bathroom ( which is Only separated by a curtain) was disgusting. The work load was okay and the Tasks easy, but the working Hours are sometimes more than agreed when there are group dinners. There were some misunderstandings with the host and I didn't feel very comfortable and respected, but I am shure that you can have a Great time at the Lodge especially in Summer.

My experience at the guest house was beautiful because i met so many people and i learned how to surf! Mariana and Pedro are lovely and kind and Mariana is very available to accommodate the volunteers' requests. The most beautiful thing is the nature around the lodge and all the beaches! At the same time i think that the accommodation is not so fair, especially the bathroom in our room definitely needs updating. The work is easy but should be more communication and organization. I still have wonderful memories about this experience and im grateful for all the people that i met, até já! 🥰

The surf lessons&surf teachers are great. I enjoyed my days with my colleagues & shared many laughs.In the beginning I felt like I clicked really good with the hosts so I was disappointed on how my stay ended. First week was so fun. I was there for the position content creator but ended up working way more shifts breakfast,checkin ,cleaning) than agreed. I communicated that but nothing changed. 4 days before leaving the host sent me a message about everything I did ”wrong” and asked me to leave last minute,never had a conversation with me about any of it before. I did'nt feel respected:(

Mariana is a sweet host, and I had a good time during my 1,5 weeks volunteering. There are lots of day-trips to do around the hostel. Luckily I also knew some people in Lisbon, so I was able to go out and socialize there. Mariana warned me about it beforehand, but in December the hostel in Malveira did not have any guests interested in surfing (only 1 surf-lesson during my stay, I did not try taking the surfboard in public transport by myself). The volunteer room should also be renovated! I am sure that volunteering at the guest house in the summer is a completely different, more fun experience.

I had a good time volunteering here! The hostel is very cozy, tasks were easy and the schedule was flexible. Mariana is such a caring person, always made sure i feel comfortable!!

I had such an incredible time at Mobydick! Mariana and Pedro were super kind and welcoming hosts and I met so many great people while I was there!! After a while it really started to feel like home. The work was completely doable and fair. The whole atmosphere of it was very chill and relaxed and there was a lot of time to go to beautiful beaches and enjoy the natural park right next door, as well as explore some of the cities around. And I really enjoyed all the surf classes I could join, always had so much fun! All in all amazing experience, will miss the place and the people a lot!!

I'm really grateful for the chance to volunteer there. I was only supposed to stay for two weeks, but I ended up staying the whole month. Everybody was so kind and welcoming. Thank you Pedro for being such a cool host and person!! When I was there, it was already a bit off-season, so it was calmer and with all the long-term guests, I felt more like at home than in the hostel. The work was very chill and I had a lot of time to relax and just enjoy the good life. Thank you sooo much!! Obrigada

Volunteering at the guest house was a much welcomed reset and an opportunity to try something new and different while making an impact and helping a small business. The hours, responsibilities, and tasks were within reason, and the people you meet are incredible! Pedro, Mariana, Caetano, and the surf instructors are super welcoming and helpful. I volunteered for three months, and they genuinely felt like a second family. Both locations have easy access to local sights, groceries, and restaurants. I can't recommend this experience enough!

My time at the guest house was amazing. The area is so beautiful and learning to surf was AMAZING. The working shifts were very simple and clear. I would recommend to all:)
