I'm sad to give 1 star to this place as I enjoyed staying there a lot. The place is beautifull especially if you love hiking, and the staff are such amazing people. Overall I can almost only share positive expect from the host. Frank just ruined the whole volunteering for me and my partner. There were bedbugs in the volunteer room, and when we asked for HELP he was speaking extremelly rude and in a disrespectfull tone. You can't really communicate with him about anything because he is going to be rude to you. He is speaking to you as if you are a nobody, almost every volunteer is leaving early

A peaceful, remote spot surrounded by nature, ideal if you're craving quiet and simplicity. The guests are friendly, the hosts kind, and the heart of it all is the rotating team of staff and volunteers, guided by Nicole and Damian. Be ready for limited transport, biting insects (flyers, bed bugs), and strict rules: no parties, alcohol in severe limitation, necessarily before 10 p.m. The food is tasty, though veggie options are limited. Expect frequent constructive feedback on improvements over praise. Two weeks felt just right, I met amazing people and had a great time!

El hotel está ubicado en un lugar muy hermoso,Es un lugar perfecto para desconectarse, disfrutar del silencio, caminatas cerca al rio y hasta un poco de hiking en un lugar cerca ubicado en Austria. Cumplieron siempre con mis horarios y días libres en la semana. Lil su perrita gigante es hermosa 😍 y siempre que podía jugaba un rato con ella (le encanta correr). Con Andrea sentí una relación muy cercana, es una mujer cálida y con la que se puede conversar abiertamente, Sus hijas fueron muy lindas conmigo y muy pacientes, Frank es un hombre reservado y amable.

Did not think that hosts were hospitable to the volunteers, treated disrespectfully and made small requests a big deal. Other volunteers felt very much the same, No volunteer should ever be crying at any point. Place is nice if you enjoy hiking and hiking and hiking and hiking.

This experience was not at all pleasant. Although I was very excited to work here when I first arrived, the work turned out to be far from ideal and not how it was agreed in the app. The days off and the hours weren't respected, we worked over 8h per day, sometimes without any breaks (I worked the same hours as the full-time employee they had). We found bed bugs in our room, and after considering the circumstances we were in, (all volunteers) decided to leave early. The hosts then told us it was our fault we had worked that much and filed a no show review in WP so we couldn't review them.

Hey Beatriz, the Work is as described on the app. That you worked as much as our full time employee is just not true ( the one time you worked longer we told you, you would work less the next time),you had your days of as communicated,even had an interview call during your shift. You didn‘t communicate any issues and left in the morning without any warning, enjoying your free breakfast. There is no bed bugs,as we are always taking measures against it. Maybe the surrounding nature is your issue.

I know one-star reviews can seem extreme, but here are the facts: This place has bed bugs and had them previously without proper treatment. When we said we were leaving due to bites, the hosts were dismissive and rude, despite it being their issue. The work hours were not what we agreed to—supposed to be 25 hours/week with 2 days off. In the first week alone, I worked 38 hours and they got rid of a day off. In my experience, communication—especially in the kitchen—was poor, and the general attitude was unwelcoming. Also, it's very isolated and hard to get supplies.

Hey Madison same as beatriz, it's just not true that you worked that much. You left with no warming and comunicated no issues.

As our livelyhood depends on it we are indeed always taking measurements against bedbugs.

We are remote, but that is stated in our position.

I had a wonderful time here! Frank and Andrea were very welcoming and kind, the food was always good, and their dog lil (Great Dane puppy 😆) was just too cute! The work is reasonable I helped wherever I was needed. Sometimes in the kitchen cooking or doing dishes, cleaning the rooms, helping to prepare the area for summer season. It was never too difficult or for too much time. I had a lot of free time here as well which can be used to explore the beautiful surroundings and maybe once the weather is warmer go for a swim!
