It has been my first experience and I'm quite satisfied. I had the great opportunity to share this experience with other volunteers which has been wonderful. Putra's wife is an excellent chef and the room is good. The children are really king and welcoming, as well as the teachers, but you will teach only 2 hours in the morning and there's not so much to do in the nearby. Take into consideration that you have to pay for the transportations. Putra's family is nice and I'm happy to have helped them. Anyway it's fair to say that the fee doesn't go to any social or scholastic project.

The highlight of this experience was definitely the schools – the teachers and kids were incredibly kind and welcoming. However, outside of teaching, you're mostly on your own. Without a scooter, getting around is quite difficult. There was little to no real connection with Putra or his family; he brought meals and drove me to school, but there was no deeper interaction. I wasn't included in any cultural or farming activities as expected. Also, the extra fee isn't donated to a project as stated, but appears to go directly to the host. Thank you for this experience and I wish you the best !
