My time at my lovely horse the shelter is a time I will never forget. There are so many people from different countries who work as one team. Also it was good chance to improve my english and social skills. All the animals are absolutely lovely and thankful like the humans too. The work can be hard but in the end you know what you've done.

I had a very nice time at MLHR. The animals are of course very cute and it is nice to work while being surrounded by them. I also enjoyed meeting people from all over the world. I appreciate that people at the shelter center tried to make the stay as comfortable as possible for us. Requests on food or where to work where always respected. They also provided a lot of food choices and we could always take as much as we wanted too. In addition to all the nice memories I made, I think that one shower is not enough for 20 or 25 volunteers. The house is quite small for that many people…

I had an amazing experience this August at My Lovely Horse the shelter in Ireland. Spending time on the farm was unforgettable every day was full of care, love, and learning. I got to help with the animals, discover their personalities, and see how much kindness and dedication goes into giving them a safe home. The team was so welcoming and passionate, and I truly felt part of the mission

This place is crazy, there is a lot of people from everywhere, you never get bored there. The only problem was the shower.. 1 shower for 20 people. It was a great experience and a pleasure to be there !! 🫶

My lovely horse the shelter was an incredible experience. Everyone who works there full time, all the work exchange volunteers and daytime volunteers are an inspiration! Caring for the animals and learning about their stories and all they've had to overcome was truly eye opening. The work is physically difficult but very rewarding! I felt safe and happy throughout my stay at the farm and am so thankful for the experiences I had!

Thank you so much for this great experience! I had such a good time on the farm, and looking back I truly believe it was the perfect place for me to improve both my English and social skills. Working with the animals and having them around all day was amazing and very rewarding. They are so loving and grateful for every little thing and you can learn so much from them. I'm just incredibly grateful for this time. Thank you so much for everyone, both people and animals, who made my stay so special. I'm sure we will see each other again. Keep up what you're doing - it's making a difference!

This was my first ever Worldpackers/international volunteering experience and I loved loved loved it! The work that is done at the shelter is so important and so fulfilling, I truly loved every day. The work is not hard and you usually have different tasks to do every day so it never gets boring. I met some amazing people here in my short 3-week stay, and I would definitely encourage anyone to volunteer here if you want to work with animals. Thank you for having me team!

It has been a great experience! Although the five hours of work with the animals is quite hard, it is a very rewarding job. The atmosphere with the other volunteers was great and allowed me to learn about other cultures. One negative aspect was that there were about 15 of us volunteers and only one bathroom with a shower. After our work hours, we had to wait for our turn. Otherwise, it was great. :)

Mi estancia , ha sido una gran experiencia en la que he podido aprender mucho y conocer a personas realmente amigables, desde el primer momento nos sentimos acogidos. Tengo que agradecer también a los managers, en especial a Claire, en nuestro caso tanto mi compañera como yo presentábamos intolerancias alimentarias y siempre nos compraron todo aquello que necesitamos además de preocuparse, porque pudiésemos comer todo aquello que se preparaba. En conclusión el trabaja es duro pero muy gratificante, además en mi caso me llevo a buenos amigos. Recomiendo mucho la experiencia.

It was my first volunteer experience and it couldn't have gone better. The welcome is friendly, the organization of work and schedule is perfect. It was great to be able to help the comfort of the animals !
