It was an interesting experience to be part of the kindergarten. The communication was a bit difficult because most of the teachers didn't speak English well. I was able to have good conversations with Suri, and she was always very accommodating. Working with the children was fun. They were very curious and open! My host family was also very friendly and gave me a very warm reception. However, the living conditions take some getting used to for Europeans, and you have to make some compromises. Dayu have her Best! Thank you Suri and Dayu!

I had a good experience volunteering at the nursery, the project were so sweet and Suri and the other teachers made me feel so welcome! Dayu was also a wonderful host, her cooking was fantastic and I will miss her smiley face. I was however expecting the experience to be more teaching based however it was mainly childcare.

Very little space. at some point there was 5 of us in 3 rooms so 4 of us had to share a bed. was great to have yoga classes 3 times a week . people were lovely. food was average, I didnt like being taken in photo consistently everyday without my consentment . I wasnt made aware that the school had a very high number of the project with autism or other major problems making teaching and learning very difficult. All good i ll inform myself better next time.

It was a amazing, authentic local experience. Away from tourist bubbles & overconsuming. I'm thankful I got to experience this, learn about the culture, food, religion, social issues, school system…it was partly chaotic to work in the kindergarden & primary school bcs in the lessons itself there was less guidance from the teachers. So u felt sometimes on your own to teach the project with the language barrier, but after 2 days you could adjust easily to that. Suri is super flexibel and open for feedbacks, she'll do the best to make u feel comfortable. Everybody's nice with you, special Dayu♥️

This was my first volunteering experience, and I absolutely loved it. Suri's work at the school is so inspiring, and the atmosphere there is warm and welcoming. The teachers are really kind, and the project are just adorable. Dayu is one of the most wonderful people I've ever met. She truly feels like a second mom during your stay, always there to support and guide you. She creates such a cozy, homey vibe, and the food she prepares every day is amazing. You'll feel so cared for. If you're looking to immerse yourself in the beauty of Balinese culture and lifestyle, this is an excellent choice.

The most incredible experience! From the moment I arrived, Suri and Dayu (and the whole community) treated me with so much kindness and respect. Dayu was such a beautiful host; she served us delicious food everyday and always made me feel at home and cared for! This experience felt like such a privilege. I learnt so much about balinese culture - took part in community activities: yoga, meditation, cooking. Also the school we volunteered at was really great. The children & teachers were so welcoming! I really enjoyed helping and connecting with them. Thank you so much for having me ❤️

I had the most amazing experience which I will cherish forever. The teachers at the school are lovely, the project are absolutely gorgeous & Suri does a wonderful job of running an incredible school as well as sewing into the lives of these special children. Teaching English through art is a brilliant idea & the children love it. Suri is a wonderful, caring, kind host & I was very sad to leave. Dayu also took great care of us, keeping our energy up with great food, helping to drive us around & even helping to dress us in traditional Balinese dress for the day. A truly magical experience.

My experience at Suri's place was fantastic. Accomodation was great, cozy, comfy and always clean. Food was outstanding, all vegetarian and local food, Dayu the lady who prepares the meals was so lovely, she surprised me every single day with something different. Food was so tasty, Im gonna miss everything. The experience in the school was marvellous, all the children and teachers received me with open arms, I had so much fun with all of them 😍😍👌 Suri and Dayu were like a second mom, they looked after me so well, and I received so much love from them. 100% recommended🥰😍😍

This has been my first experience as a volunteer in my life and I couldn't ask for more. I was hosted by Dayu in her house and I felt like a daughter: she was cooking special traditional dishes for me and the other volunteers and we also spent a lot of time together joining extra activities of the community (such as yoga, meditation, balinese ceremony etc.). Suri who runs the school activities really cares about the natural environment, making oil, soap, detergent by eco-procedures and educating children to recycle. I left full of good memories and confident that I have helped a community!

I was lucky enough to be hosted by Dayu, a beautiful human with a big heart who accepted me as her own daughter ! She introduced me to her culture and cooks divinely well! (I'm still dreaming about her crispy potatoes). I was lucky enough to spend time with some lovely children, who gave me lots of love and accepted me straight away. Suri and the teaching staff were adorable and also accepted me directly. This experience did me a huge amount of good, I felt like I was at home even though I was thousands of miles away from my real home. Thank you for everything❤️
