Teach Art & English for the kindergarten kids in Bali

This has been my first experience as a volunteer in my life and I couldn't ask for more. I was hosted by Dayu in her house and I felt like a daughter: she was cooking special traditional dishes for me and the other volunteers and we also spent a lot of time together joining extra activities of the community (such as yoga, meditation, balinese ceremony etc.). Suri who runs the school activities really cares about the natural environment, making oil, soap, detergent by eco-procedures and educating children to recycle. I left full of good memories and confident that I have helped a community!

I was lucky enough to be hosted by Dayu, a beautiful human with a big heart who accepted me as her own daughter ! She introduced me to her culture and cooks divinely well! (I'm still dreaming about her crispy potatoes). I was lucky enough to spend time with some lovely children, who gave me lots of love and accepted me straight away. Suri and the teaching staff were adorable and also accepted me directly. This experience did me a huge amount of good, I felt like I was at home even though I was thousands of miles away from my real home. Thank you for everything❤️

Suri was such a welcoming host and so kind. And Dayu, the amazing woman that you stay with, was such a pleasure to meet and spend time with. Suri's school is beautiful and the children were so adorable. We were fortunate enough to be given this opportunity with our own children in attendance, and while the experience was wonderful for us all, it was a bit harder on our the project than we had anticipated, so our time was regrettably cut short. We are so appreciative of the time we did get to spend with Dayu and at the school, though, and would recommend this opportunity to others in Bali.

My experience here was great. Both ibu Suri and ibu Dayu made us feel like family! The food was more than worth the fee. Really amazing to work with a school that prioritises traditional learning as much as it inspires creativity and teaches life skills like sustainability and kindness. I would definitely recommend this experience and I would come back myself. If you come here you'll really get a taste of local life. Once a month they also give back to less fortunate communities if you have the opportunity to go along definitely do it was inspiring.

It's a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the culture, learn about their customs and traditions, they are really warm and welcoming to volunteers, and you can feel like part of the family.

Suri and Cetana were very welcoming and I loved my experience so much! The great thing about the Kindergarten is you can be involved as you feel comfortable. If you want to lead you are encouraged to but also there is no pressure. I will say it is quite a remote area so having a scooter is preferable. They let me borrow theirs multiple times which was lovely. Overall, a beautiful area and a beautiful experience!!

Unfortunately i couldn't stay in the place they show in the pictures. Black sheets, a urinated blanket, a dirty floor and even a rat in my room. They offered me a different place to stay but i was also scared to get sick because food was going to be prepare in this place so felt responsible to report it in order to take care of future volunteers.
