Truly an incredible experience! Felicia is an incredible woman the shelter big heart, and I feel lucky to have spent the week with her and the pups. Every single dog is so sweet, you will fall in love. And the work is fun! The apartment you stay in is very nice and comfortable, and the food Felicia makes is delicious. We were basically fed the entire week! The location is just outside of Cusco away from all the tourists which felt like a more authentic experience.

I spend a month over there and it was incredible. Felicia is a wonderful human, it has been a pleasure to met her and the dogs as well. It was my first volunteering and my first solo trip and I definitely recommend you to go ! I will try to get back for sure ♥️

It was my very first WorldPackers volonteers experience there, first solo travel in Latin America and in Perú. This experience made me discovered so many amazing things about local life, local food and local culture. Felicia is a sweet, kind and devoted woman to her dogs shelter and she deserves more volonteer'help. This volonteer experience made me grown in a way to have faith in people and in life.

I had a great time with Felicia, the job is fun, you get to do different tasks at the shelter that makes it super dynamic, and the dogs are very nice. The house is very clean and very big. You share an entire apartment with only one other volunteer and you have your own room. The food is good and I always had enough to eat for dinner too. I'm not great at speaking spanish, but Felicia is very patient and helped me learn a lot. I had to go get a taxi a few times and she helped me with that to make sure I was safe and she even let me invite people over.

What an amazing adventure with the dogs and the host Felicia ! The dogs are so lovely ! They are cute and always request hugs ! Felicia is an amazing woman who dedicates her life for the dogs. She is trying to help every dogs in the shelter but also outside in the city! She is just outstanding, a heroe for me ! The accomodation and the food are perfect as well ! And you have all your afternoon ! Don't hesitate, it's one of my best volunteering!!

Mi experiencia en el refugio fue maravillosa. Desde el momento que llegué, Felicia fue muy amable y atenta, siempre dispuesta a ayudar y compartir su cultura. Me fascinó escuchar sus historias y aprender de ella. Admiro su dedicación a los perros. Llegué a Perú viendo a tantos perritos en la calle bajo la mirada indiferente de la gente y fue un alivio enorme saber que existen personas como Felicia, que realmente hacen algo por ellos. El tiempo en el refugio no se siente como trabajo, los perritos son adorables, llenos de amor y pasar tiempo con ellos fue muy sanador ❤️

Felicia was very welcoming and made amazing meals for breakfast and lunch every day with usually enough leftovers for dinner! And she is doing an amazing job with the shelter, all the dogs are really sweet but they need more help so I'd really recommend volunteering! Also the room I stayed in was amazing and it was very easy to get into Cusco's centre on the bus. Wish I could have stayed longer and will miss this experience a lot :(

Feli es muy amable y siempre me sentí muy cómoda con ella. El trabajo con los perros me gustó mucho, Feli se ocupa de ellos con mucho cariño. Los perros también son muy dulces. La comida y la estadía fueron perfectas. Muchas gracias por esta hermosa experiencia🥰🥹

I visited Cusco for nine days, but I wanted to stay longer because Felicia and her husband are really kind, even though I'm just a beginner in Spanish (Duolingo level! :)) We mostly communicated using translation apps. I really appreciate that I had the chance to meet an amazing person like Felcia. She has truly devoted her life and love to dogs. Working at the shelter reminded me how amazing and sweet they are. I highly recommend this opportunity to anyone who loves animals! :) I personally liked the place to stay. You get a spacious room, a hot shower, and a kitchen with Coca tea (IMPORTANT)

Wow, Felicia is an amazing host and person. She was very considerate about dietary needs and desires. Food was amazing and the atmosphere was great, friendly and welcoming. I would hardly call the tasks work... more ti.e was spent getting dog love tham anything else. Truly a wonderful experience. I strongly recommend anyone visit and support her efforts. The fee is more than reasonable for what you get and it mostly goes to the animals anyhow! VOLUNTEER !!
