I am so grateful I had the opportunity to volunteer here. It was my first time teaching English, and I learned how to be creative & adapt to teaching students from 6-24 yrs old. Be prepared to create your own lessons (see British Council for ideas) The opportunity to connect with locals was incredibly special. I was there during Tet, and both Miss Quynh & Miss Van welcomed me into their family's homes with open arms & showed us the true magic of the holiday. Miss Van is the most generous & warm host. She would cook us delicious meals & truly took care of anything we needed.

Volunteering as a teacher was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Miss Quin and Miss Van are truly incredible individuals—kind, supportive, and inspiring. Their dedication and warmth made a lasting impression on me. What made this journey even more special was meeting people from all over the world, exchanging stories, and forming connections that I'll always treasure. This experience gave me so much more than I expected—new friendships, personal growth, and unforgettable memories. Volunteering is truly life-changing, and I highly recommend it!

This was one of the best experiences I had through Worldpacker! the organization is incredibly welcoming, and the experience offers a unique opportunity to connect with locals and learn about their way of life. It's a truly rewarding experience that goes beyond teaching, providing a deep cultural exchange. I would recommend staying at least two weeks to bond with the children!

Everyone is so kind and welcoming and I really felt at home. The students are great to hang out with and a pleasure to teach. I felt like I got a real insight into Vietnamese way of life and culture that you don't get when just travelling through a place. Although, the school has few resources to help you teach and you are really just expected to make it up which can be quite frustrating at times. There is no record of what students have learnt from previous teachers so time is wasted figuring out what they know before you can start. That said, I loved my time here and I will miss this place!

As a tourist, I was treated warmly by Miss Quynh, offered cozy housing, tasty homemade meals, and a glimpse into their lifestyle. As a volunteer, however, I struggled with the idea that children and “poor young people” had to pay for classes. They receive an unstructured program without a teaching plan, no permanent staff (only volunteers teach), and very limited resources, which make quality difficult to guarantee. I wish to be fair. Teaching was enjoyable and rewarding, yet it felt bittersweet to realize I was part of a private venture instead of contributing to a true social mission.

Overall I enjoyed my stay. Mrs. Quynh is very kind and welcoming. She wants you to have a good experience while volunteering and is very helpful. Mrs. Vann is a very good cook, friendly, and wants to make sure you feel comfortable staying with her. I stayed for 2 weeks and while I enjoyed it, personally, I would not stay any longer than that. It was not exactly what I had imagined and there was literally nothing to do in the area unless you wanted to pay to go somewhere on the weekend. The adult students are so excited to learn but also pay a lot of money so please respect their time.

I spent 2 full weeks here with E4HG, and it was an enriching and meaningful experience. i came here with a sole purpose to volunteer and i truly left feeling like i had helped to spark a catalyst in the students here. you will form such strong bonds with the people here and it was so hard to leave. however, i should mention that you actually do 3 sessions of teaching a day, 830-1030, 2-3 with the adults and 5-545 with the kids. i wished that i was told of this earlier. additionally, do note that the adults actually do pay a rather exorbitant amount to study here, despite the NGO branding.

Staying here was such an incredible experience! The students are so amazing and joyful to be around. I also got really lucky with the other volunteers whilst I was staying and made some great friends during my time here too. You will be very well fed here and never go hungry, miss Vanh is the best cook. Unfortunately my time here ended prematurely due to some misunderstandings at the Vietnamese/Chinese border when trying to extend my visa. I will be definitely be coming back to visit when I return to Vietnam :)

Please be aware of scammer!!! All over Asia, they tell to watch for scams, but what they don't tell you is that the biggest scam can be pretending to be a non-profit,social impact organization! This place is a complete scam! The children are charged huge amounts of money to “learn with foreigners”. The woman running this organization uses lies to convince you to go on tour with you , but then deceives you. This woman is not trustworthy. Be aware! Go on google reviews and look all the reviews that she can't delete! Also we work more than agreed upon because there was no teaching materials provid

Quynh is a really nice person, she acted like I was her child. We were a family, eating and spend time together. I was giving classes to a young lady for a one to one class. She needed a specific lesson for her to learn a new job, so without being tell, it was a little bit difficult at first. Then I prepared my lessons and it went well. For me, it didn't work out because I was not well, missing my family, really not in a good mood, nothing much to do except giving class so it didn't help. I pretty sure that it could have been great if I was feeling better a that time.
