I've had a great time in the hostel. The job was fun (mostly talking to the guests), the staff and the volunteers were amazing from the beginning. Usually there are a lot of volunteers which makes it easy to find like-minded people.

Me gustaría hacer un discurso. Pero no alcanzarán a imaginar los momentos que tuve, la inmersión cultural, los amigos que hice, los momentos que viví y los lugares que visité entre otros sin fin de historias! Cabe resaltar el compromiso, responsabilidad, confianza, amabilidad y respeto que recibí por parte de Miss Kathleen y Don Santiago, son seres humanos que conectan contigo desde el momento en que cruzas la puerta. El personal de mantenimiento son seres muy queridos y amables. En lo personal, el hostel es un segundo hogar donde me puedo sentir seguro y correspondido. Lleguen!

La comunicación fue un punto débil.No siempre estaba clara y hubo momentos en que me sentí desconectada de lo que estaba sucediendo. Además, algunas de las actividades prometidas en la plataforma no se realizaron,lo que fue un poco frustrante.El incidente que más me molestó fue cuando mis pertenencias fueron movidas sin mi consentimiento y puestos en bolsas de basura. Aunque el anfitrión trató de ayudarme a buscar las cosas perdidas, no se encontró nada. Espero que futuros voluntarios tengan una mejor experiencia que la mía:)

I'll just say any host reading this would sabe a lot of energy and time by not accepting this person in their places. One of the worst experiences I have had really.

The place is good, it's in the middle of Quito and there's a nice rooftop view. If you like cities you will enjoy. The host, Santiago, is kind. The only thing is that he can be direct about what he thinks. I was traveling with a friend. We had a beer night with the staff and when we went to bed, Santiago texted my friend to tell her that she's hot. Maybe he was too drunk but I think it's disrespectful... So because I don't like being in the middle of a city and the host made us feel weird, we left earlier than expected.

hello, thank you for your comment I guess. In your words you describe the truth. We were having a chat with STAFF and nothing occured after except a comment about tattoes that was interpreted in such a way by "your friend" not even you. The real reason why you left is you didnt like the city and were looking for a reason to not have a penalty by worldpackers or the host.

Was a good experience. Kat is a great person and very understanding. Shifts and volunteer work is easy enough.

There was a problem, a couple of Colombians robbed the Caixa. The owner was very angry and was rude with me. I found it an unpleasant situation, because I was always kind to everyone and performed my duties WELL. In the evening via WhatsApp I asked about the schedule for the week and said that I would like to stay for two more days and leave due to the discomfort I had left.He was indignant and said that I helped the Colombians. It was a shame because it didn't need to end like this. I believe that problems or failures can happen, but with a good conversation everything can be resolved.

You started your shift in the morning and noticed not only that the money was missing but also that the people who took it were gone and DID NOT INFORM ANYTHING until 5 hours later when the manager arrived. Truly unbelievable. The worst is that you were upset because you thougth the manager was rude to you just for asking you why you did not inform. Not only that you can not take responsability for your neglect but also create more problems and false accusations. I would not recommend anyone anywhere to host such an irresponsible and conflictive person as you.

Un lugar realmente acogedor, con una vista increíble, kat y santi son personas muy agradables y flexibles. El desayuno es muy saludable, huevos pan fruta y café. Gracias por recibirnos Kat y Santi.

Realmente me senti cómo en casa. Los dueños son super buena onda y comprensivos. Nos ayudaron en todo lo que estuvo a su alcance y más. Hay muy buena comunicación y todo se puede charlar sin problemas. Toda la gente que trabaja en el hostel tiene buena vibra y ganas de pasarla bien. Hicimos asaditos en la hermosa terraza que tienen y pudimos compartir bellos momentos con amigos de todo el mundo. Genial lugar para socializar y la ubicación es excelente. Lo super recomiendo!!

Mi estadia en el hostel fue muy linda, por sobre todo resalto la calidad de personas que son kathleen y santi, respetaron muy bien lo acordado, escucharon atentamente cualquier inquietud que tuvimos, fueron flexibles para darnos lugar a trabajar y conocer quito. Las tareas fueron sencillas, el trabajo es agradable. Gracias santi y kat!! La cocina es un poco precaria, y faltante de equipo pero confio que con el tiempo le daran el mismo amor que a todo el hostel, saludos!!
