I truly recommend this experience at RMB! It's the kind of place where you leave not wanting to go and with the certainty that you'll come back. Jack and Billie are amazing and make the work clear and simple. You build great friendships, not only with the volunteers but also with the guests. I'm already missing everyone! 💖

Volunteering at RMB was an amazing experience. While RMB itself has a more quiet and cozy atmosphere, the connection with the sister hostels made it easy to enjoy a lively, social vibe whenever I wanted. Many events were hosted together, creating a great balance between a peaceful stay and opportunities to meet others. The workload was light and manageable, leaving plenty of time to explore the city and enjoy the sense of community. I really appreciated how the hostels worked together, and I miss it so much!

My experience at the hostel was totally awesome. Billie and Jack are really nice and sweet managers, always willing to help and support the volunteers. Also, I met wonderful people during my stay as other volunteers from RMB and High street hostel that is across the street. The schedules were always organize in advance and the volunteer hours always respected. I highly recommend volunteering here if you are a fun, open and responsible person. Will be back for sure, love you guys ❤️❤️

My time in RMB was incredible. I had a chance to meet people from all over the world, some of them who became really good friends of mine. The work is easy and you have a lot of flexibility. Jack and Billie were great, always taking care that the volunteers had everything they needed. I'm looking foward to go back to this place :)

My stay at RMB was absolutely INCREDIBLE! Jack and Billie (the managers) and the other volunteers were always sooo kind and welcoming. The location is on one of the most famous streets in Edinburgh, so everything is close by. The working hours were well respected, and the tasks were super easy. I loved it so much!!

Had the best time at RMB, classic Jack and Billie are lovely! The other volunteers made the place feel like home and the hours are always respected. The location is right on the hostel the bagpipes were great. Would come back in a heartbeat!

RMB was my home away from home. The staff is nothing short of amazing, friendly and professional - making sure we as volunteers felt comfortable and had respected work-hours while also getting the tasks done properly. the hostel is right outside the front door so the hostel acts as a cozy and quiet hideout from this central street otherwise busy with tourists and bagpipes. Getting to experience Edinburgh's beauty in the welcoming arms of RMB while sipping the free hot chocolate provided in the kitchen really made my trip and I already miss the entire and wonderful team greatly!

I really enjoyed my month at RMB. The management - Jack, Billie, and previously Kat - are very kind and helpful. The 14 hours of work per week is very fair and leaves loads of time to explore Edinburgh. The hostel is in the best location - right on the hostel. It's small and cosy, which makes it feel like home! My experience was made so special by the other volunteers, who were all so lovely and welcoming. I'll miss you all! I can't recommend RMB enough.

The last 5 weeks have been nothing short of amazing. RMB has truly been my home away from home. It's small and cozy, the people are inclusive, and the workload is distributed fairly. To go from not intending to travel further north at all during this trip to be given the chance to live on the hostel and have time off to see the rest of Scotland was inconceivable to me just over a month ago. But I'm so glad I decided to apply for this position. I'm so fortunate to have had this as my first volunteering experience and I'm going to miss the whanau and environment of RMB. Ngā mihi nui.

RMB will forever feel like home for me. All of the people I met, the memories I made. Work is easy and you have lot of time to explore Scotland. Loved it so much!
