My time at GSH has been an amazing experience, and I'm really happy that this was my first Worldpackers experience. While I was there, the management changed, so things were a bit different. Before that, the volunteer tasks were more organized, but right now they're still figuring things out. The hostel itself is easily one of the best I've stayed in when it comes to its vibe. It has a wonderfully social and laid-back atmosphere, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. A heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers and staff who made this experience so memorable for me! ❤️

El voluntariado en Gijón el hostel fue mi primera experiencia en worldpackers y no podría haber sido mejor! El hostel es precioso y tiene una vibra genial para conocer gente y organizar actividades. Respecto a horarios, turnos y condiciones, todo se cumplió a la perfección. Se nota que tienen mucha experiencia con worldpackers porque todo está muy bien organizado y lxs miembrxs del staff siempre se preocupan por cómo estás para que te lleves la mejor experiencia posible. Muchas gracias a Eze, Ro, Ivan, Javi y a todxs lxs voluntarixs. Fue hermoso conocerlxs y espero volver prontito 💙

GSH es una familia! Pude presenciarlo durante mi estancia allí. El personal hace todo lo posible por crear un ambiente agradable. Las reuniones de Ezequiel para mejorar continuamente, las clases de surf gratuitas y más actividades como cocinar juntos sólo garantizan que te puedas sentir a gusto. Con mi tarea de crear el contenido de las redes sociales, pude crecer no sólo personalmente sino también creativamente. Me fui de GSH con una sonrisa y una lágrima. Por un lado, agradecida por la experiencia y todas las amistades que hice y, por otro, triste porque mi tiempo allí pasó volando. Gracias!

I loved my experience in GSH, the tasks are as described in the offer and not difficults. I had so much fun in the hostel, the team of volunteers was perfect and we get to enjoy all the advantages that are coming with the experience such as Surf Classes, Mountain Bikes or Pizza Nights. I would definitely recommand this experience to everyone looking to enjoy a sunny place in Asturias. The vibe of the hostel with the team but also the guests is really nice. Thanks GSH for this amazing month, I couldn't have wish for a better first volunteering experience.

I still am at a loss of words about my time at the hostel. It was so much better than I expected in every sense and I truly felt at home there very quickly! The group of volunteers became very close and I gained some friends that I can't wait to see again soon! I would highly recommend the volunteer experience at GSH to anyone & everyone and can guarantee that you'll walk away from it with a newfound love for the north of Spain!!

My time at GSH was absolutely amazing! Every part of the experience was better than I expected! I met so many amazing people, staying here truly feels like a family! I feel so lucky to be a part of this group of volunteers and I formed lasting friendships with people from all around the world. GSH will always have a special place in my heart and I highly recommend volunteering here!

After almost 6 weeks in GSH, I felt really sad to leave. The place feels like a home very easily, especially because of the amazing people, who create a very open and social atmoshpere all together. The work was straightforward, there's a checklsit for what to do in every shift, and the hours and conditions are exactly as described on WP. I also was able to go surfing many times. Ezequiel is very passionate about the hostel and wants to keep on improving, he wants the best for both the hostel and the volunteers. It was my first WP experience, and it was unforgettable, I would highly recommend!

Fue una experiencia súper bonita y que sin duda repetiría. Hay un ambiente muy bonito, se siente como estar en familia, Ezequiel es alguien que se preocupa por el bienestar de todos, dispuesto a escuchar opiniones y tomar decisiones para siempre mejorar. El proyecto que tiene es increíble y poder haber sido parte de eso se siente muy bien. Tener a Rosario, Javi e Iván en el equipo es mucho mejor, son personas únicas en el mundo con tantas cosas que aportar, sin ellos no hubiera sido lo mismo. Todo lo acordado se ha respetado y el trabajo es sencillo. Sin duda Life is better at GSH🌊🤍
