It was my first Worldpackers experience and I recommend it. The hostel is very organized, both for guests and volunteers. The volunteers have their own bed and space to store their things in the volunteer's bedroom and also their own space in the kitchen to store their food. The hostel is very clean. The staff is very nice and we can really see how much effort the manager puts on to offer free activities for the volunteers: trip to Picos de Europa, Yoga, surf, pizza night, bbq night. GSH definately has a good vibe!

GSH what a place! I had the best month volunteering here doing reception and cleaning. The sleeping arrangement is good with your own bed and space to store your things. The team is great! I met and worked with people from all over the world learning about the different cultures and cooking together. Gijón is a nice city, not very big but enough going on that you won't be bored! Would recommend for all to try!

Fui al hostel como huésped y me quedé como voluntario. El equipo de trabajo es muy bueno, responsable y cuidan a sus voluntarios. Ezequiel, el manager tiene experiencia haciendo voluntariados entonces sabe lo que es estar del otro lado y busca darle la mejor experiencia a los voluntarios. El hostel es un lugar muy cuidado y muy cómodo. Recomiendo para pasar tiempo en la naturaleza y quién sabe, aprender a surfear también! Ademas de las tablas de surf hay actividades como excursiones a los picos de Europa. Sin duda una experiencia que me encantaría repetir.

I had an absolutely incredible time, and would recommend the place for anyone looking for a social community to become a part of. The work is easy and straightforward, and everything is very well organised. I always felt welcomed and at home. Thanks you for every single person I met, all the volunteers and staff are 10/10!

I loved my time at GSH. I've met the most amazing people and truly made friends for life! The feel of the hostel as soon as you step through the door is like being at home, I would have stayed forever if I could! The work is fair and simple, it's such a good deal for what is offered to volunteers. We could take surfboards, bikes, and skateboards whenever we wanted, join in free yoga sessions, and the pizza every Tuesday was amazing too! The manager makes effort to take on suggestions on how to improve the hostel and you really feel looked after! The best hostel and the best people!

This was my first volunteer experience and I cannot be more happy about my choice. Staff, surf lessons, food , bed ,all is perfect ,everybody is very friendly and if you need something ,just ask. Tasks are simple and you work as it says. I had a lot of laugh, good spent time and you have a big city to explore . I would definitely recommend GSH . I love it.

This Volunteering was the best so far. You really get all the perks they're telling you : surf classes, equipment, bikes just for us, breakfast, etc. The room for the volunteer is really nice, you have space to store your things. Felt like living at home for a month, I really recommand it. Everything's well organised, I would definitely recommend this place.

The hostel is like a second family, if you want to spend some good time learning about different cultures, learning to surf and more, this is the perfect place to go. The staff and volunteers are super nice and welcoming.

I would 100% recommend this volunteer. The environment of the hostel was great!! I learned how to surf and was able to keep on practicing by going to the classes or going at the afternoon with the board❤️ The house became my home so fast as I felt so comfortable. Great beds and space to put your own stuff. Always super clean!! The task are easy to understand and to make. Would love to come back❤️‍🩹

Vivir y ser voluntaria en Gijón the hostel es una de esas decisiones de las que no te arrepentirás nunca y agradecerás toda la vida. Ha sido mi primera experiencia como WP y siento que no podría haber elegido mejor. Te explican todo con mucho cariño, las instalaciones son una auténtica maravilla, todo está limpísimo, y el buen rollo y la vibra que tiene este hostel no lo he visto en ninguna otra parte. El número de voluntarios que hay es perfecto para hacer piña y crear una pequeña familia. Gracias Eze por darme esta oportunidad, y por preocuparte siempre por nosotros. Nos vemos pronto💙
