Working at the 5EH was my first volunteering experience abroad and it set the bar high for my next experiences. Firstly, the city of Leipzig feels smaller than most major cities in Germany, so it was a great opportunity to practice German. The hostel is conveniently located at the very heart of the city; and the volunteers dorm at the hostel is huge and super comfortable. I truly believe the best part were the people. The 5EH felt like a big family. I created lifelong friendships with other volunteers and all the housekeepers and staff were super nice! H, T & R are the best managers

It was a unique experience!! This is literally the best volunteer program in Germany. You get breakfast and laundry included, and the volunteers live in a beautiful penthouse. Everything is comfortable and clean—it's like living in a dream, in your own all-inclusive luxury apartment. Hannah will be your manager, and she is so sweet and perfect ❤️. You also get discounts at the bar, and seriously, every single person on the staff is the kindest person you'll ever meet. Thank you, Tania, Fede, Samuel, Sara, Mika, Katrine, Blad, Patric, Toni, Raquele, Diego, Phil, Lais, David 🤍

The experience was really delightful. I had such a great time with all the volunteers and the staff. All members of the hostel are such lovely people, that make you feel at home. I actually extended 10 more days, because of that environment. Hannah and all the rest of the managers are both firm and chill about the volunteer task. I think the best thing i can say about my time there is that this is now the standard of a good volunteer experience

Volunteering in Leipzig was an interesting experience. The apartment was pretty nice, and there were some days off to travel. At times the work did feel unevenly distributed and if you're a couple it may be hard to get your days off together. But the bar was great with the discount and the people were nice.

Volunteering at Five the hostel was an awesome first experience! Everything was exactly as described in their info, and they stuck to the agreed-upon hours while also being flexible with time off. I met some amazing people, and overall, it was such a positive experience. I'd recommend this volunteering opportunity to anyone looking for good times in Leipzig!

My first volunteering experience was fantastic! At the Five the hostel, I learned new skills, met incredible people from around the world, and explored Leipzig during my one-month stay. As a digital worker, the flexible scheduling was perfect - tasks were simple and enjoyable. The team room was spacious, bright, and comfortable. I developed great relationships with other volunteers, sharing fun moments and enjoying a collaborative atmosphere. The entire hostel team was incredibly welcoming and supportive, I'm sure will return for greet them one day! Thanks to Hannah and all the staff :)

Volunteering here has been such an amazing experience! Everything about it has been great – from the work, to the people, to the location, and even the breakfast The place is so strategically located, making it super easy to explore other areas on my days off. Speaking of which, the team I worked with was fantastic. Everyone was so supportive and fun to be around, and we had plenty of off days to explore. The breakfast was always delicious. Overall, this has been an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend volunteering here.

It was a great experience, Hanna is very kind and she is a very good coordinator, she helps a lot to understand the dynamics and does a very good training of the volunteers. She is also flexible with the days off, which makes it very easy to travel in case you want to visit another city nearby. Additionally, the beds are very comfortable and the room is very big. Also, the breakfast included is very tasty. I had the opportunity to meet people from different countries, which was great and I would volunteer again for this experience. The work is not very hard and never exceeds 20 hours per week.
