I had the best experience in the hostel, the time really flew by! All the staff is super kind and welcoming, the volunteering work is great, the freedom in choosing the daily activities allowed us to really discover Bergen and its surroundings. The tasks really emphasize on the social aspect of the hostel, you meet guests from all over the world during the activities and coffee&cookies. And what a better way to end the week than going to Baunehytten on Sundays and baking waffles in this lovely cabin! Thanks to the hostel crew for making this experience amazing :)

The hostel is the perfect place to be a volunteer! The staff really takes care of the volunteers, they're all about making our and the guests lives more fun, they are very welcoming and flexible. The tasks make possible for the volunteers to really work together, choose the activities independently and experience the life in Bergen. I met so many amazing people from all around the world, some friendships were born. It's a perfect place for hiking a lot, get to know Norwegian culture and socialize. Thank you for everything!

Bergen is a beautiful city and there are countless activities you can do in nature. The staff is amazing and so helpful, and you feel comfortable since the moment you get here. It was amazing! All about this program is for the volunteers. They pay a lot of atention on making everything comfortable and functional for the volunteers. We had a lot of tasks, such as planning the activities to do with the ghuests, coffee and cookies, cleaning the common kitchen, doing the activity board, post on social media....but it wasn't a problem. The volunteers can organized themselves to divide them. But the most amazing part is to socialize with the ghuest, which they are a lot and they come from all over the world. There are lots of things to do and you are in touch with nature.

This was my first volunteering experience and it was the best thing that could ever happen to me. I would like to start by thanking the people who are working in the hostel for welcoming me from the first moment, I never felt alone. Working here as a volunteer was amazing, I had the opportunity to meet people from all over the world and to get to know other cultures and traditions. A special thanks also goes to Baunehytten, my favorite place in the whole world, making waffles in the cabin was awesome! Thank you all the hostel family for this incredible adventure!

Camilla has been our volunteer for 6 weeks in HI Bergen Hostel Montana, and It has been a delight to have her during this period. She is very responsible and committed! Thanks to this volunteering experience, I met hundreds of people and created unforgettable memories! Bergen is a nice city where you can participate in both cultural events and go for a hike on the same weekend with the guests. People who were working at the hostel were kind and helped volunteers when needed. As a volunteer, I could be free to choose the daily activity and be creative if I wanted! Last, but not least, Sunday at Baunehytten making waffles was one of the best things of the week. Thank you the hostel for this opportunity!

I am grateful for the opportunity to live in such a magic place, our main task is create a good atmosphere and enhance the social interaction between guest, all the guest were really amazing with us, we meet people over all the world. We share a lot of funny moments during "coffee and cookies", we learn new songs in the Karaoke singing in different languages. We are so many times outside "hiking" and experience the beauty of the nature in Bergen.

My volunteering experience at the hostel was incredible! My main responsibilities as a volunteer were to take the guests on activities everyday and serve coffee and cookies in the evening. Running the activities was great fun and I had the opportunity to meet so many travellers from all around the world. What made the experience special for me, was the staff and other volunteers at the hostel. Everyone was very friendly, inclusive and helpful with any issues I had. If you are looking to travel, meet people and be part of an international environment, I couldn't recommend the hostel enough!

It was a pure pleasure to stay at the hostel in Bergen. From the first moment on I felt welcomed. The hole stuff is super friendly and kind. As volunteers we organized the activities for the guests like hikes, city tours, movie nights and so on. This was a great opportunity to meet other travelers. If you want to get in touch with the nature Bergen is the best place for a visit or a long-term stay. Thanks to everyone who made this to such a good experience. I'm really glad to spend my stay at the hostel.

My 6 weeks at the hostel have been incredible. The staff is incredibly kind and always ready to help. The environment it's very cozy, and it won't take long until you find yourself at home. You'll da LOT of hikes (with incredible views). You have a lot of freedom to arrange the activities as it fits you, as long as you coordinate with the other volunteers. You also have the chance to sleep in true norvegian cabin in the mountains, something I totally suggest. If you like talking and meeting new people and getting in touch with nature, this is the best opportunity you can get!
