I had a wonderful time in Daejeon. The city is large and flat, perfect for long walks and the transportation is very efficient and comfortable. The work at the Studio is easy and pleasant, the students are very friendly, it's the perfect place if you are looking to interact with the locals and da the guest house. The accommodation is small with only one bathroom. The place provides ramen, bread, rice, eggs, fruits among others but they don't provide prepared food, you must make it, or if you want to buy it, there're so many delicious and cheap restaurants near to the accommodation.

This volunteering experience was great. Russell was always kind and responded to our needs quickly. Daejeon is a nice and peaceful city. The location of the apartment is convenient. The food is basic. It's an excellent opportunity to get to know locals and Korean culture.

A fantastic experience. The hours are adhered to as scheduled, and the work provides an invaluable opportunity to engage with the local residents. Daejeon is a beautiful, peaceful city surrounded by nature. Locals are really nice people. The accommodation is simple and small, but conveniently located very close to the work site. It's essential to respect the rules of community living to ensure a pleasant stay, as things can become quite difficult otherwise. The provided food is basic. I would undoubtedly volunteer again because the time spent here has been wonderful.

I had the best time ever in Daejeon. It definitely makes a difference that you meet people your age/vibe and I was so lucky to meet a handful of them. I would really recommend befriending the students at the Studio, because that's how I learned all the korean customs and korean culture in general. Russell is extremely caring and will help out with anything - don't be afraid to ask! I do think the apartment could do with a deep clean every once in a while, and also some better mattresses/blankets/pillows. The food is also just ingredients and ramen, but I am so thankful for the experience<33

Russell did a great job at communicating goals and expectations as well as being friendly and accommodating! I felt very welcomed and the work at the language studio was amazing for getting an inside view of Korean culture and getting to know locals. I would recommend to implement a cleaning/organization system with fellow volunteers as the accommodation can get a bit messy if gone unchecked. Other than that, it was wonderful and I'd definitely recommend this experience!

My friend and I had an absolutely wonderful experience in Daejeon. Russel is incredibly accommodating and always ready to help if anything is wrong. At one point the AC wasn't working and the same day he made sure to come and help us figure it out. Beyond grateful for my time there and the people I was able to meet through this experience. An amazing way to get to know locals, the work never felt like work :D

This was my first travel experience and I honestly couldn't have been luckier. The experience allowed me to meet some of the best people ever and consequent have the most amazing time. The work in itself doesn't feel like work but rather like having a conversation with your friends. You meet all sorts of people with different backgrounds and personalities and it's honestly so insightful. I even made some friend at the studio! Food is basic but sufficient and if you coincide with nice people the dorms feel like a sleepover. Daejeon is surprisingly fun too, despite what ppl say :)

I've had a wonderful time staying here. Russel is such a good sport - truly an attentive host and the accommodation is proper. People who want to learn and teach; but also connect with locals - this is the spot! I've made international as well as Korean friends. The studio is a fun and relaxing environment with lots of different people that come everyday. I wish I had stayed longer. I can't recommend this enough!

We had so much fun volunteering in Daejeon! We met so many amazing people, both locals and other people volunteering. The work was super nice, and the locals were all super friendly and thankful! Also, people tend to say Daejeon is a boring city, this is simply not true:) We would really recommend this experience if you enjoy being social and learning about Korean culture!
